MIXOLOGY AWARDS 2020/2021

massive thanks to our sponsors

2

welcome As Liam Gallagher sang at the start of What’s The Story: ‘Hello, hello, it’s good to be back’. It’s perfect that he repeated the word ‘hello’, because this year’s Awards really are a two-for-the-priceof-one, as we celebrate not only the best of 2021 but also 2020 (you didn’t think we’d forget you?). We’re genuinely excited to be back in front of you all, bringing you what has to be the most eagerly anticipated industry event in years. We have to confess that, when we first announced a September 2021 date for the Mixology return, we were more than a little concerned that, firstly, we’d be unable to even host such an event, and, secondly, there would not be the eagerness from the industry to return to such a large gathering. Thankfully, the first has been avoided – and we needn’t have worried about your desire to return to the industry event that you tell us you love more than any other. With that in mind, much of the event will be the Mixology you know and love – but even bigger and even better. There might not be an elephant in the room, but the room is certainly big enough to swing one in. You cannot have failed to notice that we have a new Mixology London venue – the fantastic Evolution in Battersea. The extra space allows us not only to fit you all in, safely and comfortably – it also enables us to extend the dancefloor, which can only be a good thing considering we have the amazing Huey Morgan of Fun Lovin’ Criminals fame on the decks. We sincerely hope you all enjoy the night – it really is going to be great to see you all again. And please don’t worry – it might be a 2-for-1 but that doesn’t mean we’re going to charge you double!
