New York has something magical about it. Most of my life I thought I was looking for a place to realize my potential. But I reached a point when I realized that there are limitations anywhere you
go. Any industry you do, any city you live. Perhaps the point of this life is to overcome any limitations that come your way. Perhaps, after crossing the globe and living on 5 continents, New York is the place, or perhaps my life purpose involves travelling. And if it isn’t a state of mind...Well, I think, I am packing my bags again...

MFM news Synergy Fitness is local chain of fitness clubs / gyms in New York. Most of the fitness clubs are open 24 Hours and the passport membership offers access to all of locations. Gyms are located in Manhattan, Long Island, Brooklyn, Farmingdale, Astoria, Garden City Park, Syosset. The gyms offer various services, including classes, and personal training. I became involved with one of the gyms in Manhattan. Hard Core, with free weights gym, where a lot of the local bodybuilders spend their time, and pump for the upcoming competitions. Featured in Time Out magazine, The New York Times, Mens Fitness, Club Industry etc, this newly opened brand is growing and attracting more and more members. And like any other place in New York, the gym with all the members, equipment and it’s staff is unique and like no other. Having crossed 4 continents and worked in the fitness industry, I was truly mesmerized and hoping to continue contributing and collaborating with the mecca of the heart of Manhattan for the bodybuilders and dedicated gym fans. Photo Report by Mariya Mova Georgios Sarbinov is personal fitness trainer, fitness model, INBA Natural competitor and athlete, and massage therapist. His recently launched new web site includes advice on healthy recipes, online and one on one training, modelling portfolio, healthy advice and personal info, bio and achievements. I bumped into Georgios in Dubai at the INBA World Championship in June 2015 and instantly wanted to work with him, and capture him with my camera. Luckily I had a trip to Europe later on that year, and we were able to organise a photo shoot. It is
amazing to see such a great and positive trainer who also has the knowledge, expertise and is also artistic and unique. Georgios was born in Greece but currently residing in Sofia, Bulgaria. Josh Taubes is natural bodybuilding competitor, personal trainer and model. He works at Synergy Fitness Club, NY, Manhatta, LES
When I first met Josh, I was mesmerized by his friendliness and positivity. Naturally after sometimes we decided to do a photoshoot, and then the idea for the interview came up. Josh is preparing for this year bodybuilding shows as we speak. Let’s wish him luck for this year shows. MFM: When did you start training, at what age?
MFM: What are your competition achievements?
JT: A few soccer trophies and I placed third in my first natural bodybuilding competition last year at WNBF. I do take pride that I am natural, but I also don’t judge. We still have to do the polygraph test and the urine test. MFM: Who is your role model?
JT: I started lifting weights when JT: I have a few role models. I was in 9th grade. MFM: What is your training? Diet? JT: My training has evolved over the years, now I work 5 days a week. Focusing on legs at least 2-3 of those days other days are back and chest and shoulders. My diet is very strict and restrictive, it consists of low carb diet, high protein, and good healthy fats. Protein from different sources, no juices or other beverages just water and almond milk.

She is 70 years of age. What is your excuse? Interview with the amazing Renee Shields When did you start working out? Since the 80’s, I’ve done classes predominantly. What made you start doing weights, gym workout? I wanted to change the way I look, to improve. I started buying books on how to do various exercises as supposed to asking a trainer. I started teaching myself, reading. I was training at that time at Bali Gyms. I took the advice of one trainer, who inspired me, he told me: Whenever you see another person training with heavy weights, you don’t do it; you do what is most important for you. I also met another person who was training, who said to me, that it was my diet. At that time I was overweight (1991), and he told me to change my diet. I followed his
advice and tried vegan diet. My diet has evolved over time, and at the moment I try not to eat sugar, salt (I replace the salt with herbs and spices), drink a lot of water, have maximum 2 cups of coffee a day, nuts are always unsalted, I also include fish, chicken, vegetables, and occasionally potato, half of it. For breakfast usually is oatmeal, half a banana, boiled egg. Have you done any competitive sports? No, that’s not what I want to do. There are so many things happening in this world that is good to do something for you. I feel that, when I work out, when I do something for myself, no matter what’s going on outside the world, if I feel good in my clothes and I have energy, that’s what matters.
Is not easy growing old, when you get to be a certain age, you are thrown away, I’ve seen so many people that are frail, walking with walker, and not mobile, and I don’t want to end up in nursing home. It is hard to keep fit, it is sacrifice, but I feel confident and in control. When you control your body you control your mind. This gives me strength to go on and deal with all life situations. And I feel confident. What is your workout? I used to weigh 177 pounds, now I am 112. I do the weights first, 5 days a week, I do legs and arms Mondays Fridays. Wednesday is light workout of abs and cardio. Cardio is 5 times a week consists of Stairmaster, treadmill walking, and bike (30
min), of total of 80 minutes cardio. Tuesday Thursday upper body, and every day is abs work. At one point I was working out 6 days, but I felt too tired, so my routine now is 5 days a week. Now my focus is I want to get into modelling agency for mature models. I’ve got something to prove now, that age doesn’t matter. What advice would you give to other women, who want to feel strong, and fit? It is very important to take care of yourself, to invest in yourself. A lot of people make excuses for time, or other reasons. What is an hour of your time? To feel better, stronger, fitter and younger. An hour of your day time can increase your life time. The so called hot or cold drink Coffee. Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans. The plant is native to subtropical Africa and some islands in southern Asia.
