Chia seeds What is chia, usually known as Salvia hispanica, is species of flowering plant/ herb. It is native to Mexico and Guatemala. Chia seeds are rich on fiber, and omega 3 and 6. I also has a lot of vitamins and minerals. A 100 gram of chia seeds is a rich source of Vitamin B, thiamine and niacin. Some of the minerals include calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc. chia seeds can be added or cooked together with other foods, can be used in recipes for baking, added to juices and beverages and used on its own too. Chia mousse Ingredients: 400 ml can coconut cream 1/2 raw carob powder 1/4 cup agave sirup 1/4 chia seeds Cacao nibs or almond flakes, optional Directions: Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Whisk ingredients together until well combined and smooth. Pour into 4-6 serving glasses. Sprinkle with cacao nibs of almond flakes if you like. Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or until firm. Enjoy!
