EDITION 67, DECEMBER 2015

Carols in the Park The night of December 11 will once again see Carols in the Park at Norman Park Gordonvale. As well as local community groups performing our favourite Christmas Carols, there will also be early Christmas presents for a number of residents. The organisers are giving away 5 x $100 cash prizes, 5 x $250 hampers and a major prize of $500. The draws commence at 8.30pm and all winners must be in attendance at the event on the night to collect their prize. The afternoon commences at 4pm with market stalls and a sports clinic followed by Carols from 6.30pm. At 8.20pm Santa arrives and then the raffle draws commence. As well as Gordonvale Carols, Edmonton will be holding Carols By Candlelight on December 2nd in Ravizza Park and The Cairns Regional Council Carols on Sunday the 13th of December at Fogarty Park On the Esplanade in Cairns. All money raised at this event through the sale of food, glow products and candles goes to the Mayors Christmas Cheer Appeal which raises funds to buy hampers for local families who need a helping hand to help make their Christmas Festive. This event also includes a free song book on the night. If you happen to be in Babinda on the 11th of December the RSL Memorial Hall is the place to be with the Babinda Wonderland Experience. This project aims to transform the inside of the Hall In School Street into a whimsical land of interactive sets and and fantasy forests. Visitors will be able to visit Santas

workshop, experience and Aussie bush Christmas and wander through the Enchanted Forest. Goldsborough Valley will also hold a Christmas Eve Santa run, commencing in the late afternoon, Santa will make his way around the Estate, delivering lollies to the Children. Whatever you are doing this Christmas, we at The Mulgrave News would like to thank the residents of Gordonvale and in particular our customers for the continued support and we look forward to seeing you all in 2016.

TOXINS & PAIN

Gordonvale Community Hub located @ 17-19 Cannon Street

If our body is finding it hard to get rid of built up toxins, they may work their way into our muscles and joints and cause pain and discomfort.

DECEMBER

I’d like to share an interesting story about one of my clients. Mrs A came to see me with ongoing lower back pain due to her job that is very demanding on her physically. She had been to see me in the past with good results. Occasionally she needs to see her Chiropractor and has a treatment with me before or after seeing him. Recently she had 3 adjustments with her Chiropractor and follow up treatments with me. This time she was still in pain and none of the treatments or adjustments seemed to be holding and she was back in pain a few days later. She also was experiencing severe pain in her toe, only on one foot. After the last visit to her Chiropractor she asked him why the adjustments didn’t seem to be working this time. He told her that it could be a build up of toxins. At Mrs A’s next treatment with me I decided to do a Lymphatic drainage to remove the toxins. The next day I spoke with her and she had NO PAIN! Four pain free days later she had another Lymphatic drain treatment and we had the same results. Mrs A was taking a lot of pain medication especially at night so she could sleep. She has had 2 weeks now of no medication and is so elated to be free of pain and no more medication. The human body is an amazing mechanism when dealing with issues such as toxins but sometimes needs a little help. I’d like to thank all my clients for their business this year and wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas. All the very best for a wonderful New Year too.

Welcome to this month's Editorial of all things Real Estate. I would like to wish all my clients and readers a very Merry and Happy Christmas and a Healthy and Successful New Year in 2016. This year has travelled very quickly in the Real Estate world and happily I can reflect back to note that our local market is much more resilient than it was 12 months ago. We have travelled on the Property Clock from the Bottom of the Market to a Rising Market, where we have been sitting for quite some time now. There has been a substantial change in the number of properties offered for sale at present more than double the amount compared to this time last year, so, while properties prices are steady and buyers are active, the number of days on the market have increased due to the forces of supply and demand. One category of the market that has more buyers than sellers is the Acreage Lifestyle and Income Earning property market. I have a massive number of people hoping to upsize or to secure their future property from interstate and, due to the lack of properties on offer, those listed are sold very quickly. If you would like to receive a Listing Checklist on how to maximise your selling price or are looking for a no obligation appraisal of your biggest asset in today's market please give me a call or email for an honest and confidential chat about your real estate needs Robyn Hawley-Whitton - Mob: 0488 071 007 or Email: robynhw@cpo.com.au
