Fight #5
Main Screen Basically rather clear design, which is in line with Human Interface guidelines.
This doesn’t look like iOS search bar though‌ Let’s not force users to learn new stuff - Allegro uses sliders, which is well known iOS pattern eg. from App Store đ&#x;‘?
Hamburger menu. Material Design it is then.
vs.
Search bar seems to be designed according to Google guidelines: rounded corners, shadow, voice commands available. What comes after clicking it is another story‌ Well, this is rather unexpected behaviour of ‘more’ icon‌đ&#x;¤¨

Navigation Only one, most important icon on the navigation bar shopping cart. Usable and clear solution. Allegro uses sliders quite a lot. It became quite an intuitive pattern, applied on both systems. Really nicely implemented tab bar: 4 elements, each described with a label, the active one marked with color.
Almost classic drawer: the more icon should be replaced with drop down arrow.
vs. Yet I wonder, why constant indicator of the number of favourite offers - even when there has been no status changed.
‌and profile actions should not be displayed on a new layer, but rather replace the top-level list. Quick access to most popular categories, is a nice move (even though pattern cannot be described as Material Design), as the user ins’t forced to open hamburger menu. #weeklyUXfight #MobeeDick
Search results It is not exactly the pattern one can observe in iOS native apps, but the importance of quick access to My cart justifies this design decision. Quite a lot, quite a mess - each button behaves in different way Allegro designed for 3D Touch. So happy to see that!
So‌ we are in Search results yet there is a Search icon on the navigation bar. That’s not the pattern I know‌
vs.
Something weird’s going on here - tabs that do not act like tabs‌Feels like inception đ&#x;¤Ż No forced cards applied, but rather simple list of elements, nice! Add to favourite icon on the right is also consistent with Google guidelines. #weeklyUXfight #MobeeDick
Favourites Come on, Allegro! Why mess up, when all was going so smoothly here? These tabs are sooo not iOS!
I can’t find a reason to put here back arrow, when we came directly from drawer menu.
vs. These buttons neither‌
At least tab bar behaves as it should.
On this screen we see the elements on cards not list. This seems to be correct design decision, as elements offer more actions, then on search results screen.

To sum up This time the choice is quite difficult, as Allegro applies design patterns for both systems quite fairly.
>
Also, for both systems there are appear some quite disturbing patterns (for iOS it can be seen in Favourite section where the behaviour of tabs follows neither iOS nor Android guidelines;
>
on Android I would say that most confusing is Search results screen - what’s going on there is truly a mistery‌).
Though, taking into consideration the fact, that Apple Human Interface guidelines leaves the designer a bit more freedom, than Google Material Design, it will be fair to give honor to iOS version of Allegro. There are still some shortcomings, but basically, if speaking of following guidelines, Allegro does well.

And the winner is…
…
Take care!
