TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, WHY YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO, AND YOUR JOURNEY SO FAR.
SINCE I WAS A CHILD I WAS ALWAYS MORE INTERESTED IN MAKE UP THEN CARS. I ALWAYS USE TO WATCH MY MOM WHEN SHE WAS GETTING READY TO GO SOMEWHERE. I DIDN'T KNOW WHY, BUT I WAS SO IMPRESSED, SO A FEW YEARS LATER I DECIDED TO HAVE A SOME PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP LESSONS. I REMEMBER I WAS 15 AND I WAS THE ONLY BOY IN THE ROOM FILLED WITH LADIES AND GIRLS. BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO SCHOOL AND MUSIC SCHOOL AFTERWARDS, I DIDN'T REALLY HAVE A LOT OF TIME FOR THIS, SO DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT AS A PROFESSION. LUCKILY IT DIDN'T STOP ME FROM DOING MAKEUP TO MY FRIENDS AND THEIR MOMS AND MOMS FRIENDS. AFTER SCHOOL I MOVED TO LONDON. IT WASN'T EASY, I DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH, I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE, SO IT TOOK TIME TO BECOME COMFORTABLE WITH MY LIFE. SINCE THEN I DONE A FEW COURSES AND STARTED TO WORK FREELANCE. I LOVE IT.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF PROGRESSING IN THE FIELD?
MY GOALS. GOOD QUESTION. WELL, I DON'T LIKE TO SHARE MY GOALS, AS I BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN BE REACHED ONLY IF KEPT IN SECRET, BUT I WILL TELL YOU COUPLE THAT I ALREADY ACHIEVED. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT OTHERS, BUT I LIKE TO START WITH REASONABLE AND LITTLE GOALS AND CLIMB STEP BY STEP TO MORE CHALLENGING ONES. SO WHEN I STARTED TO WORK AS A MAKEUP ARTIST, MY FIRST GOAL WAS TO HAVE MY WORK PUBLISHED IN MAGAZINES. THE NEXT ONE WOULD PROBABLY BE TO WIN AN AWARD. AND THE LIST GOES ON, BUT IT WILL STAY WITH ME FOR NOW.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE? ARE YOU PATIENT? ARE YOU FRIENDLY? HOW OPEN ARE YOU TO CLIENTS’ REQUIREMENTS?
I AM VERY EASY GOING AND FRIENDLY GUY, ALWAYS POSITIVE AND FUN TO BE AROUND I THINK. I AM VERY OPENMINDED TO CLIENTS' REQUIREMENTS, BUT IF I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE I LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE START.
IF YOU HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
WELL, I WAS YOUNG AND SHY, SO I ALWAYS HAD ISSUES WITH CONFIDENCE AND THAT WASN'T HELPING ME, ESPECIALLY TO START. I THINK, I WOULD TRY TO BE MORE CONFIDENT AND
WHO IS YOUR HERO, AND HOW HAVE THEY HELPED YOU GET TO WHERE YOU ARE?
I LOVE BEYONCÈ. SHE IS SO INSPIRING AND EXTRAORDINARY WOMAN. WHEN I'M UPSET OR FEEL STRESSED, I JUST LISTEN TO HER MUSIC AND IMMEDIATELY FEEL BETTER.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE CREATIVE EDUCATION COURSES? HAVE YOU TAKEN ANY, AND DID YOU FIND THEM USEFUL?
I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE CREATIVE EDUCATION FOR ANYONE, WHO IS JUST STARTING AND WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS INDUSTRY. IT SHOWS BASIC AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE, BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT. IN ORDER TO STAND OUT, YOU NEED A LOT MORE. YOU HAVE TO BE PASSIONATE, CREATIVE AND ORIGINAL. I HAVE TO BE HONEST, I THINK YOU CAN'T LEARN THESE THINGS, YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT IN YOU.
I HAD A FEW COURSES. ALTHOUGH IT DID NOT TEACH ME MORE CREATIVITY, IT TEACH ME ALL THE OTHER THINGS, NECESSARY START IN THIS CROWDED INDUSTRY. IT WAS VERY USEFUL.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR SOMEONE WHO IS JUST STARTING OUT IN THE INDUSTRY?
I WOULD SAY, JUST BE ORIGINAL, BE GENUINE, AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY AND COMFORTABLE WITH WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? My modelling career began after being rejected from the military due to a heart defect. I am happier each day because I found my passion in art through photography and advertising. I am also an actor! How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? It is very important. I have attended courses through my agency dealing with the business aspects of modelling along with runway courses. They prove worthy within the industry. What do you think makes someone “fit to be a model? Someone who has a decent grasp on who they are as an individual, having confidence, beauty (in one way or another,) and knowing how to communicate well with others.

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? My goals are to shoot with many photographers all around the world for art or advertising and to showcase high fashion clothing brands. I see myself progressing very well. What do you know about advertising psychology and photography? I know that a single image or campaign can create a desire within a customers mind. I know about subliminal messages, capturing the right image, and marketing to the right demographic. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I communicate very well. I listen to others to get a grasp on their needs or feelings and engage in the chemistry we share. I am very open to the requirements of clients. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? I do both eat nutritiously and exercise at least three times a week! What is your dream role as a model? Being the face for high fashion campaigns, magazines, and sharing my voice for the people.
Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. This journey started with me creating a quote that would fuel my passion for modeling and personal growth. "When all else seems to fail, enlighten the world with your presence." It is imperative for anyone who has a passion to take hold of it, never wait for society to dictate your destiny. I was raised by a family who always taught me to never settle or allow anyone to disrespect or insult a character they worked so hard to define. It is my duty to protect my image...it is my duty to be the best individual possible not just for me but because this world needs more great people publicized! Modeling for me is a journey of personal growth and a strong desire to enlighten the world with the real me: Alexis Manson. What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? My first goal is to strategically build a network of support systems from all walks of life. You may ask how? Never turn down an opportunity in your passion arena. You miss out on meeting people in your ballpark. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I am one of the nicest individuals you meet. On my social media platforms I set aside time each day to respond to all those who took the time to like or comment on my journey. People do not realize how important it is for me to hear such positive feedback, it fuels me. Saying thank you is a start to build relationships with people. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? Not one thing. I am who I am because of hiccups. You can't become wise without sometimes falling. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My grandmother who is 96, a women dear to my heart. it was her work ethic and honest nature that has made me who I am. How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? I have not but I am very willing to seek out opportunities in my passion arena. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? Yes, first and foremost create your own brand. A brand is a solid representation of "you" - once you have created the foundation, you just keep moving upwards.

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? Tell us something interesting about you, something inspiring. Don't be shy. :) My work and passion are Fashion Industry. I am 25yrs old, and I have decided to quit smoking. Health and Wellness are important for me. It's not just to satisfy my ego with the way I look but most importantly I want to have a healthy life with the good physical condition for a long, long, time. So besides going to gym, I play football and do water sports when I go on vacation. I love travelling, both leisure and work related because I believe travelling will make a person more humble and learn and respect different cultures; I am a food and wine enthusiast. I am not into partying, my ideas of enjoying life is a balance of good work, being connected with family, my times in the sun, sports, a memorable vacation, a soothing chill lounge music.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? Learning by Doing; Self-Learning from sophisticated sources.
What do you think makes someone “fit to be a model? When the Basic Requirement meets. But today, we have more respect towards Uniqueness and Being Different. Many brands have involved Handicapped Models, and for me they are inspiring, to make me do better. Good Attitude is a plus in this Industry; It's not always the Clothes that makes the man; it's Our Character that makes the brand stands out.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? Being a model for a long time is my priority, but it is not the only goal I try to achieve in my life. I have studied and did business before, and I am looking into Fashion Industry and Retail for my next long career.
What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? We live in the modern world where Media and Advertisements play big role in society. I know enough to work with or promote brands or companies that sell or give good influences to people.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I am open to client requirements as I also have an open mind and open opinion. I am a straight forward kind of person in my work. I am Patient and Friendly in my capacity. One thing for sure, I am an honest work-man, and I expect the same in return. I am focused on my work, and always give my best in any circumstances.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? When it's possible, I will do my best to go to Gym and Football Everyday. I relax one day or two per week to let my muscle rest and have some sun for my skin. I am not picky in my eating habit, but I eat mostly healthy food because I believe that "We are What We Eat.
What is your dream role as a model? A Healthy and Fit Model to Inspire the Younger Generation to see that a Professional Model like myself who lives healthy, doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs, eat right, not partying hard, enjoy a serene (calm) life, DOES EXIST -
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? My limitations and boundaries are connected to my selfrespect.
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours? I can travel. Full time or Part time are Varies according to each job as well as the timing.

How did you get to where you are now in your career? I was once told by a professor in college that I should give up on fashion and drive a truck. Years later that same professor approached me for work. The moral here is to just follow through on your dream and don't let anyone derail you. This is how I continue to be successful. Stay professional and stay on track! What is your opinion on modeling education? I have a fashion design background. I attended F.I.T. in New York, but prior to that I worked as a stylist, tailor and freelance designer. I was always involved in the fashion industry, so as for my being involved with models it was all a part of it. Had this not been the case, I would say that modeling education is pretty important. It's not all about posing. You have to express an emotion or reveal a layer of yourself which isn't easy for everyone to pull off. What person has been your inspiration in life? Who is your hero? I would first say my mother, who worked in the garment district in New York City. She took me to her office one day and once I saw the drafting tables and all of the textiles designs, I was hooked. I immediately went home and started taking apart my clothing and changing the patterns. Second, I would have to say Designer Bryon Lars. I use to sit in the F.I.T. student library and watch videos of his fashion shows for hours. Lastly Gordon Parks, once I saw the possibilities I was off and running. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? Nothing! I have learned from every successful event as well as every failure. I am happy with who I am and that's all do to highs and lows in your life. The highs keep you wanting more and the lows push me to do better. Do you have any tips? I would asked them to really question how bad they really want it becuase it does not start off glamorous. I have seen very talented people through in the towel on their dreams becuase one thing didn't go their way. You don't necessarily do the thing you love for notoriety. You just love doing it. So I would really just question their motivation.
How do you stay inspired? Just look around you. I am inspired by everything. People, places, things and so on. I also have a close group of creative friends that leads to friendly competition between each other so we are constantly pushed. What photography related things do you recommend? Keep Shooting! High or low times, keep shooting, idle or busy times, keep shooting. Don't always settle for the recipe your fed, be daring enough to challenge yourself. What's your favourite camera? Hasselblad 500C/M - I just love the feel and look of it. I often wrap my shoots with a roll of film What is your most memorable experience so far? I was doing a body painting shoot and the model showed up sick. She kept say she just needed to lay down for a minute but kept throwing up in my trash can. I told her there is absolutely no way this is going to work. Everything your feeling right now will come accross in the pictures. Knowing she had to leave and that I had everything booked already for this session, I quickly had to book another model and wait for her to arrive. what would have been a 4 hour shoot ended up being 8-12 hours but it looked great in the end Client can contact me directly for rates. "I am 100% Punjabi (Indian) so we're usually business men." Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? In high school, was always the different guy. The way I behaved, dressed and so forth. Girls took notice and asked if I modeled. Now, I am 100% Punjabi (Indian) so we're usually business men. I gave it a try and I promise you to this date I don't know what about it I love but I love it. Perhaps it's the fact I get to meet new beautiful people everyday and the fact I get to travel to new locations and help out the poor and needy with my time & donations. I meditate and do yoga majority of the day so that's another thing about me. How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? It is extremely important. Did attend Barbizon and learned many things such as ramp walk, posing for the camera, being still & calm backstage & etc. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? Believe being a good human being is what makes a great model. Modeling should be as much about inner beauty as it is about outer beauty. :) What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? First started off by a simple photo shoot at a local photo studio. Now, thanks to God am signed with 8 agents worldwide. 3 in San Francisco, 3 in Los Angeles, 1 in Brazil & 1 in Europe (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) - A friend of mine was sweet enough to forward me Mr. India America 2015 Pageant's website. Did sign up & thanks to God won Mr. India Galaxy 2015 title along with Most Photogenic Face 2015 & People Choice's Award 2015 with 300,000+ votes. This made me the youngest Mr. India & the 1st Mr. India in over 23 years (700+ contestants) to have won 3 titles. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? People tell me so. People view me as a Superstar but I view myself as a simple human being. I get thousands of messages both personal and public daily and reply to all or as many as I possibly can. Please do view it for yourself if you'd like at, www.facebook.com/ghai18 Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? All the time. Do my best to work extremely hard. Exercising 4-5 hours a day. Eating high protein, moderate fat & moderate carb foods. What is your dream role as a model? Would love to work for H&M. Have been wearing there clothing as a child. Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? The only limits you have are the ones you set up within your mind or allow others to set up for you. Live by this quote. :) I'm a little crazy (positive sense) - I accept everything that comes my way. Even if I know I have no experience to do it. Go on set with positive belief and the project (coincidently) turns out well. Thank god. State your availability: Would you travel? Work fulltime, part time? Any hours? Always open to traveling. This is my full time job along with acting.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, WHY YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO, AND YOUR JOURNEY SO FAR.
AS A LOVER OF EVERY FORM OF ARTISTRY, I TRY TO CONSTANTLY SURROUND MYSELF WITH CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS. PHOTOGRAPHY IS JUST ONE WAY I AM ABLE TO BRAINSTORM AND COLLABORATE WITH THOSE INDIVIDUALS AND CREATE WORKS OF ART. WITH PHOTOGRAPHY I AM ABLE TO WORK WITH MODELS, DANCERS, OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS, AND SO MUCH MORE.
I AM ALWAYS LEARNING SOMETHING NEW AND THAT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE
DOING SOMETHING RIGHT.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF PROGRESSING IN THE FIELD?
MY GOAL IS TO JUST KEEP CREATING AND MEETING NEW ARTISTS! EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO OFFER AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHO I WORK WITH OR WHERE I'LL END UP IN THE FUTURE.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE? ARE YOU PATIENT? ARE YOU FRIENDLY? HOW OPEN ARE YOU TO CLIENTS’ REQUIREMENTS?
COMMUNICATION IS KEY WHEN IT COMES TO MY WORK. I WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE'S NEEDS ARE MET AND IDEAS ARE SHARED.
THAT WAY EVERYONE IS HAPPY WITH NOT ONLY THE FINISHED PRODUCT BUT THE JOURNEY IT TOOK TO GET THERE.
IF YOU HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON SO I LEARN FROM MISTAKES AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
WHO IS YOUR HERO, AND HOW HAVE THEY HELPED YOU GET TO WHERE YOU ARE?
WES ANDERSON WITHOUT A DOUBT. WHEN LOOKING AT MY WORK IT MAY NOT RESEMBLE ANDERSON'S KNOWN STYLE, BUT HE IS THE SOLE REASON
I GOT INTO PHOTOGRAPHY. THE FIRST WES ANDERSON FILM I SAW WAS
MOONRISE KINGDOM AND I FELL SO IN LOVE WITH HIS WORK IT INSPIRED ME TO CREATE SIMILAR WORKS OF MY OWN.
FROM THERE I CONTINUED TO LEARN AND DEVELOPED THE STYLE YOU SEE IN MY IMAGES TODAY.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE CREATIVE EDUCATION COURSES? HAVE YOU TAKEN ANY, AND DID YOU FIND THEM USEFUL?
I'M CURRENTLY FINISHING UP MY BACHELORS OF FINE ART IN PHOTOGRAPHY SO I MAY BE A BIT BIASED, BUT I DON'T THINK
I WOULD BE WHERE I AM TODAY IF IT WEREN'T FOR THOSE CLASSES. NOT ONLY ARE THE COURSES
HELPFUL, BUT THE CREATIVE MINDS I'VE MET ALONG THE WAY HAVE DEFINITELY SHAPED WHO
I AM TODAY.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR SOMEONE WHO IS JUST STARTING OUT IN THE INDUSTRY?
DO NOT GIVE UP. OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS I'VE PHOTOGRAPHED EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY IMAGINE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT
I WANT TO DO. PEOPLE TRIED TO FORCE ME TO GO ONE ROUTE AND CRITICISED ME WHEN I WENT FOR
SOMETHING ELSE, BUT AFTER ALL OF THE STRESS AND STRUGGLING
I KNOW I AM HAPPY DOING WHAT I DO NOW.

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? I have been modeling since childhood so it's natural for me to be in front of the camera. Modeling allows me to communicate through my photos. It allows emotions to come through and reach the viewers. Modeling can inspire others through photographic work. It allows me to portray a different character. A bit like acting. How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? I've taken modeling courses while living in the States. However, it was just curiosity. I find the courses to be unnecessary. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? Willingness to succeed, a professional and positive outlook, hard work and never take no for an answer. Looks alone won't take you anywhere if you don't have the right mindset. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? Continuing to push myself further and doing projects that inspire me and that are fulfilling. What do you know about advertising psychology and photography? Being professional and respectful are a few of the many things in order to be hired again among companies and photographers. And properly marketing your image on social medias as well. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I believe I'm great at communicating which is also very important in this business. I'm very patient with clients and friendly. And willing to work hard to achieve the best results possible. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? I eat a balanced diet, mainly choosing healthy food options. I'm not a junk food junkie. I exercise a few times weekly. What is your dream role as a model? I don't have a specific dream role as a model. My focus is to better myself and keep moving forward. Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? I do have limitations based on if the assignment is interesting or if it does improve my modeling career. State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours? I'm willing to travel depending on the type of assignment.

My accomplishments so far in modeling are a combination of work I have done and invaluable experiences that enhanced personal growth and development. I have a strong belief that regardless of how experienced and developed our career may be, there is always room for more learning and developing. Personal development is a never-ending process, we are changing daily. It is up to the individual to choose if that change is in a positive direction or not. I have appeared in several advertisements, been a brand ambassador for an athletic clothing company, acquired two local agents, mentored a group of models in the Northwest, have done model scouting, and been a talent director.
