SIENNADAVIS
Tell us about your daughter. How did she get her interest in modeling and as a parent, how did you talk to her? Sienna started modeling at 4 years old. Her older brothers had modeled and we thought she had the right personality for it too. So we gave it a go. How important is modeling education: Has she attended modeling courses? What related courses or studies has she taken? Education is very important. Sienna is luckily a very academic student & enjoys school. She hasn't done any modeling courses as she has learnt on the job. (She has done over 100 paid jobs since she started modeling). What do you think makes someone “fit to be a model? I think having confidence is a big factor. Having the right personality and being comfortable in your own skin is key. Being adaptable and easy going, to be able to take instruction from complete strangers is something that goes with the job. What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology, and photography? People like to be able to relate to advertising and to think that they can wear the clothing or whatever it may be that is being sold. So it's important to believe in what you are selling as it comes across in the photo. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I like to think that I am a friendly person. I am easy going and can get along with just about anybody on a job or anywhere. I'm a talker and not shy so I can easily get to know what a client wants. Does she eat nutritiously? How do you balance her studies and modeling career? I'm a bit of a fruit bat & I love fruit. So I smoothies and eating fruit salad. I do love stuff too. I exercise a lot, I play netball, do soccer. At the moment, modeling isn't full time doesn't get in the way of school too much yet.
love making the naughty karate, play just yet, so it
What is her dream role as a model? What do you aspire for her? When I was little I wanted to be a Victoria Secret model like Miranda Kerr at the time who wore the wings. Although that would be cool, I would like to do acting as well. I've done a few TVCs & I like that.. Modeling will definitely be in my future. We will just have to see what happens.
Does he/she have any limitations? How do you define her boundaries when choosing to accept a modeling request? So far we haven't had to worry about that too much. Things have to be age appropriate for her. They definitely have to be a reputable brand. State his/her availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part-time? Any hours? We would definitely travel for work. Sienna is available for bookings. As a parent, what pieces of advice could you give to the parents reading this? As a parent, you definitely have to go into this industry with eyes wide open. Not be fooled into something you don't feel comfortable with and definitely go with reputable companies. It is worth it as it is great for confidence and opens up doorways to opportunities you might not necessarily get otherwise. For the young model: Tell us your most memorable experience in modeling so far? My most memorable moment was turning up to a job I did for David Jones & working with Megan Gale. I ended up working with her 3 years running on Christmas campaigns. Also when I met Miranda Kerr. She was beautiful. The best part is making friends who understand what it's like to do modeling. I have made some life long friends already.

Tell us something really awesome about you? I started photography with a Canon 1100D that I bought at a pawnshop; this was a&er I saw a friend's camera and it le& me with sleepless nights, I knew I had to get one. It was then I had to learn all the basics of photography which taught me a lot in dealing with models and of course getting out of my comfort zone, from that point I knew I wanted to be a full-time photographer. A&er several months of working hard trying to improve on my shots, I knew I had to give in to the calling, which led me to resign at my workplace a&er seven years of great career. I then took all my pension fund money and invested in my gear, studio, etc. Since then I never looked back… How did you get to where you are now in your career? I have attended a couple of workshops and also I host my workshops, constantly I'm on youtube learning and watching new things. If models can also do the same to improve their work, it will be great What person has been your inspiration in life? Who is your hero? Myself, with all the knocks and punches I have taken in life only to bounce back a better and stronger being. Do you feel like you’ve met your goals and are successful? Honestly, I'm still at the beginning of my career. Greatness is slowly paving its way my way... If you had to do it over again, what would you change? Nothing, I'm content with the decisions and actions I have taken thus far. What advice would you give someone who is young and wants to have a position such as yours one day? The world greatly rewards those that stay true to themselves, be you and do you :) ... How do you stay inspired? Photography is a calling for me, so I just follow it. What photography related things do you recommend? Learn all styles of shooting until you find that one style that will best suit you... What's your favourite camera? My Canon 6D
PEOPLE’S CHOICE
Tell us, what advice could you give to people who will be writing their entry to us? In life everything requires patience, it doesn’t matter how good you think you’re without patience there will never be greatness. Model Citizen App is growing by day and people across the globe who are best in what they do just like you, also want to become part of this great opportunity and it will only make sense to be patient and wait for your turn and if it doesn’t come sooner than you expect to keep on sharpening your skills and talents before you know it you will have a super awesome profile that will make it anywhere in the world and oh don’t forget to be nice it really helps. Always remember this; any brand/company loves good publicity if you can reach out more by sharing and helping them out they will check your profile with great interest and plus you will be doing great to the community of photography and modelling. What are we expecting from you? I’m currently preparing for my talk on Africa’s biggest photo and film expo that will take place from the 27th October in South Africa. There after I am doing my 2nd photography workshop that I’m planning in November and of course, I will continue doing more shoots and hopefully an international tour soon. What would be your greatest shortest dream? My greatest and shortest dream is teaming up with international and local brands like Model Citizen App and do tours/workshops internationally that will help share knowledge meet new people and inspire those that need inspiration. Tell us more about where you came from? Our readers have asked if you could tell us the smooth inspiring story as a photographer, on top what of what you already have told us. I come from a township called Soweto, which is situated in the South West of Johannesburg, Soweto has a rich history that has helped shape our country to what it is today. A bit of continuation from where I left…. After I invested on my photography gear with my pension fund investment with all the excitement to concur the world, I had bought couple of lenses that I thought were the real deal only to learn at a later stage that the lenses I had purchased were actually the worst investment ever since they were not meant for portrait professional photographers. I remember when I was told that, I could hear the sales persons voice crystal clear on my ears saying “If you want to be better in photography buy these lenses” and I did not know I was falling in the sales trap ha ha ha… What more can you expect from a sales person? That moment I learned a valuable lesson; invest in knowledge firstly, then equipment and then get a mentor that will help in guiding you on your way to success or be like me then and enjoy getting more punches before reaching your main goal. More than anything, like in a game of chess; passion and patience are what gets you a crown.

I am thoroughly enjoying modeling and the path that got me here! From modeling as a teen, to earning a Masters degree and experiencing many years working as a clinical therapist helping people who are struggling, I have always wanted to help people improve their lives. Now, I am ecstatic to be working on my personal dreams. I encourage all people to do what you love and that will help you radiate happiness because you are doing what you are meant to do!! People have always fascinated me which is partially how I ended up in the behavioral health/psychology field as a therapist for so many years . I love meeting people and seeing growth and development . I still get to do that but in a different way now . Ultimately, there is a ripple effect. If people are doing what they are passionate about and love, then that happiness effects people around them and their environment in a positive way. People that hate their jobs and are unhappy rub off on the environment around them, negatively effecting others. People may wonder how others can be mean and rude or jealous and tear other people down. The answer lies within that individuals own unhappiness. I would like to say something about choosing the careers and the dreams to shoot for. Whatever the field we are going into there are investments and that's where we learn discernment, how to invest wisely. That investment is basically time and money. We only have 24 hours in a day use them wisely. Nothing is free. I get all the warnings on scams with modeling and have been in the field since I was young. Scams are when they take your money and did not receive any return. Or, the obvious situation where you are offered a modeling job via social media and never met the employer in person and they offer to send you a check before you have met you (A classic check cashing scam. I saw that one a few times). There are many others out there too . But I think that people are so alerted by "scams" they associate it with anything that costs money is a scam in modeling which is a misnomer. Everyone needs to choose personally how and when they can invest into their careers. Let me share the personal ways I choose to invest in my career. Self care is significant and even something I would talk to people about as a therapist. It's OK to to take care of yourself and feel good making yourself shine to the fullest potential! Make yourself look beautiful inside and out! You are worth it and never let anyone tell you otherwise! Embrace what it is about you that makes you special! I take care of my skin, hair and nails. I train at a gym and eat healthy. That is money I choose to invest. I feel training and events that help with networking are also vital
and I choose to invest there also. Choosing a salad over a cheeseburger is more expensive but it's the choice I personally make . Not that I won't eat a cheeseburger occasionally but most of the time, I eat well. I went to a modeling school when I was younger and I feel that's well worth the money to do training and education. For my clinical license in healthcare, continuing education is mandatory each year to keep current and yes those cost plenty of money each year. Sometimes employers pay, sometimes not. It's an interesting transition as I have chosen to do the modeling field full time now . There is a bit of a tone that if anything costs money it's automatically a scam . When I attended healthcare continuing education classes those teachers and trainers did not work for free. The same is true with modeling, if you are receiving something that includes training, networking and people involved that are working hard to help you - they need to eat and live too! In other words, it will cost money. What you invest in yourself will determine how much you get out of it. We can learn from everything we do. We can learn from each other . I would never want to be a person who thinks they are done learning . It's impossible to know everything and everyday can bring learning and growth ... It does not stop. Your life is what you choose it to be no matter the environment you grew up in or are currently in. I want to encourage all people to build each other up and not tear each other down . A positive attitude is much prettier than a negative nasty one ;) My current goals are to be in print advertisements for major clothing brands and to continue be a positive influence to those around me.

MODEL
MARLON DANCE-HOOI
We’ve heard you starred in a few TV Shows. Tell us more about it please. I have appeared on Singaporean and Australian TV in a few different shows, such as Underbelly, Fiends and Foes, Incredible Tales, and For Better or Worse. I have also been a contestant on 2 different reality TV shows With your recent T V show appearances in FitForFashion TV, what was your most memorable experience? I’d have to say the most memorable experience was working on a high wire - mainl y because t hose harnesses were very constricting on certain areas! Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? First and foremost I am an Actor. But I have always been fascinated by t h e a c t i n g p o t e n t i a l t h a t modelling has. To be able to convey emotions, story and thought within a single frame of time is an incredibly valuable skill to develop. How impor tant is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? My biggest education in the world of modelling was on Fit For Fashion. Since then I have been seeking out modelling coaches and classes to improve myself. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? I believe people have misconceptions about the nature of the industry - they believe that a person needs a particular look or body type to be a model. the fact is that there are as many different body types as there are types of modelling - Runway, Commercial, Editorial, Host, Street Fashion, High Fashion, etc. I think the most important quality is to have a relentless drive to improve yourself and a willingness to learn about the industry.
What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? I have befriended and worked with several people in the industry so I feel I understand the psychology of advertisement a little bit. The industry today is radically different given the vast scope of social media to shape and direct opinion influencers have unprecedented power as tastemakers, and brandintegration is the order of the day rather than merely showcasing a product. However skillful photography and artistic sentiment will always have a place within advertisement. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I do my utmost to ensure the client is satisfied by my performance. As we are making both art and commerce, I want to work closely with the photographer and art director’s vision and improvise based on their needs. During Fit For Fashion I learned the value of listening to photographers’ feedbac k and adapting my pose to suit it. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? I am currently on a bulking cycle and so aim to gain 3 kilograms of muscle by the end of this month. Therefore many of my meals are high calor ie and would not necessarily be classed as ‘healthy’. However I make sure to get proper amounts of fruit and vegetables into my system. On bulking cycles I go to the gym about twice a week, for cutting cycles 5 times a week. I also eliminate carbs and sugar from my diet on cutting months. What is your dream role as a model? I would love to model for a famous underwear brand like Calvin Klein. Moreover, I would love to work with designers to create a unique brand of clothing and accessories.
Do you have any limitations? H ow d o yo u d e fi n e yo u r boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? I am comfortable with most things, however I am not realy interested in doing nude shoots - nothing against people who choose to do so, it is simply not my thing. Outside of that I’m open to adventurous shoots such as suspension, antigravity, shoots with animals - you name it. State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours? I’m more than happy to travel and work full time as a model if the opportunity arises. I think it would be exhilarating. Tell us what's your memorable experience so far. I’ve led a pretty eventful life, but one moment that sticks out for me is sitting on top of Machu Picchu, the famous Incan city, staring at the clouds below as the sun shone over the mountains.

Tell us something about you? As an artist mood, drama and emotion trump reality every time. A lesson that took some time to learn was to listen and trust my intuition and to be less concerned about technical correctness. If my work fails to make an emotional connection with the viewer then from a client's perspective, it has failed regardless how stellar the technique. I still obsess about my work but more from the position of how it's representing my artistic intent. What inspires me about fashion photography, particularly fashion composites, is the opportunity to create an image and pull the viewer into my world. How did you get to where you are now in your career? From a career perspective, I am just beginning the professional phase of being a photographer. I took a serious interest in photography and Photoshop 15 years ago. I had my dreams of where I wanted to go as an artist but had not taken the action to turn them into reality. In April 2014 I was shooting in Sicily when I thought, "why cannot every day of my life be like this?" In March 2015 I left a very lucrative corporate career to follow my passion. My corporate peers were stunned that I would voluntarily leave the gilded cage. Oddly enough my mother was my biggest supporter of my decision. The only thing I knew with certainty is that if I did not take action, then I would forfeit any chance of success. I have spent the past 16 months working seven days a week doing self-assignments, honing my skill set and learning more about the photography business. Note to those who want to follow my path. There is a big difference between photography and the photography business. I signed my first client July and hope I can leverage the experience to sign additional clients. How did your education prepare you for the future? I was in graduate school in the final semester of my Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in 2000. I was required to take two electives, so I picked classes in digital media and electronic publishing. At the time I did not own a camera and had not heard of Photoshop. Those classes opened my eyes to a whole new world I never knew existed, and I was instantly addicted! Since then I have spent untold thousands of hours studying photography and Photoshop. I have attended several seminars and a workshop. I can say unequivocally the best investment I ever made in photography education was attending the Joel Grimes workshop at Joel's studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Joel is a fantastic teacher, and he holds nothing back on the information he shares regarding photography, Photoshop and the photography business. I will add a disclaimer to Joel's workshop mention unless you are prepared to work hard and invest hundreds (more like thousands) of hours practising what you were taught you just bought yourself a pleasant weekend in Phoenix. In answer to your question my MBA degree certainly helps in managing the business challenges and being committed to continuing education keeps me growing on the artistic front. What person has been your inspiration in life? Who is your hero? Despite perceived inadequacies or challenges a person might face everyone is weak, fragile and insecure to some degree. What is available to everyone is the power of persistence, attitude and work ethics. One of my favourite quotes is "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity". I am inspired by stories where the power of persistence and work ethics turns dreams into reality. I believe in having mentors and being a mentor. Mentoring provides insight and benefit to both parties. My parents had a huge role in instilling my work ethics and are examples of creating their own luck. I also believe in virtual mentors. My virtual mentors are Joel Grimes, Dixie Dixon, Renee Robyn and Brook Shaden. Common traits they all share is their persistence and work ethics. None of them had their success handed to them.
What's your favourite camera? I have been a Canon shooter since film days. Currently, I am using a Canon 5DSr and Canon 5DMK III as my main cameras. I also have used a Nikon D800E and Pentax 645Z. All of these are excellent cameras, and all have their strengths and weaknesses. My primary reason for sticking with Canon is I want to focus on the creative process and not try to figure out where a setting is buried in a sub-menu. It comes down to getting the results I need without the need for a camera manual. Being invested in Canon glass further seals the choice.
“
My aspiration is to continue to grow as an artist. My goal is to produce a body of work that both documents my subject matter and personal creative journey. I would love to be a part of a gallery show!

How was your experience working with Kaitlin? If you were in a room full of people and asked to pick the two most mismatched persons present the odds are good, you would pick Kaitlin and I. Visualise an eccentric Robert De Niro and a very ambitious Jennifer Lawrence paired up for a photo shoot. Kaitlin has been a fantastic creative partner! She is very professional and an extremely hard worker. She is the first model I have ever allowed to adjust strobes, and she is keenly interested in learning photography. We have shot together so much that a bystander would think neither of us had the power of speech. I swear she can read my mind and she is always on top of her game. Kaitlin and I have several projects in work. Hopefully, we will be able to pull the wraps off soon! I am very excited about Kaitlin's future and glad for the opportunity to work with her!
Do you feel like you’ve met your goals and are successful? My goals are rather lofty but I am on track. Fingers crossed! If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I was the editor of the editorial page of my high school newspaper. Knowing what I know now I might have gone for a photographer slot. My life has been a series of unexpected chapters and has never unfolded in any sort of linear, logical, sane sort of way. I could say I would have gone and got a degree in photography immediately after high school but then any change in my life might well change how I view my work and life as an artist so I do not know if second guessing fate is a good move or not. It is possible my crazy life is part of a bigger plan in the creative realm. What advice would you give someone who is young and wants to have a position such as yours one day? I would say follow your passion fearlessly and do not live a life of quiet desperation. Let your passion fuel your persistence. Trust your intuition. Just know there is a price to following your dreams and being authentic. You have been somewhat socialized your entire life to be a good follower, obedient and compliant with a cookie cutter future. Remember freedom of choice does not mean freedom from c o n s e q u e n c e s . I t h i n k f o r a nyo n e considering a future in any creative field you have to want it more than sleep and be willing to pay the price. If your motivation is strictly for money, fame, or living a jet set lifestyle the odds are excellent you will fail. You will suffer at some points along the way for your art. On a more upbeat note surround yourself with positive, ethical and creative people. Study and apply every aspect of your craft constantly - business, technical and creative. If you have the opportunity to get a fine arts degree, or other educational opportunity take advantage of it. Do not stereotype others and be willing to gain wisdom and experience regardless of the source. Do not become a slave to debt believing you can buy your way to talent, creativity or success. Make notes of the tiniest steps of incremental progress and review where you were ago a month ago and then a year ago. Could you create a year ago what you can create now? Do not be self-centered and think of only your ambitions. Work diligently for the success of others at every opportunity.
How do you stay inspired? E m b ra c e w h a t yo u l i ke a n d yo u r ambitions. Do not be afraid to love your passion. Do not seek peer or societal approval for your creative choices otherwise you risk never realising your creative potential.Knowing what you love and what moves you is the first step towards inspiration.Spend time studying the works of artists that inspire you. Break their work down to specific elements that resonate with you to gain an understanding of your creative self. Spend time with other creatives and let the whole creative fellowship unfold. What photography related things do you recommend? Learn to play as you work and create without preconceived notions.Look at what you are doing and sometimes go in a opposite direction. For example, if you always shoot in the telephoto range see what is possible with a wide angle. Change your perspective when framing a subject. Break rules regularly.so as an artist you know why you make the choices you do. The Same type of thinking applies to post production. I also am always noting how light falls and shadow details. I am sure it is a bit annoying to others when they are speaking to me, and my attention is focused on the shadow that may be present between their nose and upper lip! How can people reach you for a job? And how would they know your rate? First I would kindly ask interested parties to look at my website and Instagram pages. My style and look are very well defined and consist ent. Hopefull y, interested parties are contacting me because they want to include my artistic vision as part of their project. Please let me know how I can help you. I can be contacted via email: larry.bramblett@larrybramblett.com or through my website www.larrybramblett.com I am available for global assignment. As for my rate I need to understand the client's objectives, motivation and planned usage. My bid will b e p r i c e d ve r y c o m p e t i t i ve l y a n d optimised for the client. I can also supply my certificate of professional liability insurance as part of the bid package.

Q: What is your inspiration in life?
A: I’m inspired by many aspects of life. It could be a book, a movie, a painting, a photo, a song, a person or an event. Anything I see, hear or feel. I can feel happy, sad or disgusted - I like to create an emotional reaction to the images, something that people will always remember.

"Ever since I can remember, I have had a fascination with fashion photo shoots in magazine, clothes, dressingup and used to illustrate/ sketch collections."
Tell us about yourself. I am Stephen van Eeden, established fashion designer - specialising in bespoke bridal/evening couture. My design aesthetic is Feminine, Modern and Glamorous. Age: 30 (Born 6 July 2016) - Location: Atelier situated in Claremont, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town, South Africa At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion? Since I can remember, I had a fascination with fashion photo shoots, clothes, dressing-up. While at I was at school illustrate fashion collections. I decided to pursue a career in fashion at the age of 16. What is your dream job? Creative Director of my established brand.
How do you stay updated on the current trends? Social Media apps like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest are all a constant source of the latest social and fashion trends, but nothing beats FASHION MAGAZINES like VOGUE, ELLE, COLLEZIONI and HARPER'S BAZAAR - and obviously love following the fashion week schedule around the world. Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week & Alta Moda/Alta Roma seasonal collections. How important is Fashion Week for you? Brands and designers utilise Fashion Week as a platform to showcase their creativity, originality and also their accessibility to the consumer. There are many ways for the consumer to view or part-take during the shows via social media apps and the internet. This is part of a large strategy for the designers and brands to directly connect with their consumer and show them what is on oer - it's more tactile and alive than catalogues or fashion editorial in print publications. Fashion Weeks also boost the sales rates as it creates interest around certain brands and awakens an appetite with the consumer.
What have you learned from mistakes on the fashion creative director job? Stay true to your identity and aesthetic, follow your intuition and always be original. What are your plans for the future? Where do you see yourself taking your designing career? Establishing my Brand within the bespoke Bridal Couture market in South Africa, for the future, I definitely would like to extend my brand to other international cities especially New York, Sydney and London. Name the top three things in your designing kit that are must-haves? - Copic Markers - Sketch/Note Pad - Definitely, a phone or camera to capture visuals that inspire you daily
Tell us your most unforgettable experience as a designer? As a bespoke, made-to-measure couture designer, every content and happy client that walks out my Atelier is an unforgettable experience. I can not explain the proud and rewarding feeling - it makes all the hard work worth it! Favourite all time designer? Christian Dior. Elsa Schiaparelli .Oscar de La Renta Advice for the up-and-coming fashion designer up there? Be dierent.Challenge the norm. Be willing to take a chance. Ask Questions. Make your track, do not follow the well-trodden path. Chart your course and destiny. Developing your signature design style. Have perseverance, enthusiasm and always work hard

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? I love fashion, I like posing for the camera. I want to be dressed in the different stylish clothes and be a "doll". How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? Well, I personally would never pay for a modelling course or studies. Your agency will provide that if they think you need it. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? Uniqueness, confidence, good body with style, and of course, attractive to the eye. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? I want to be a Victoria secret model, posing so flawlessly on the beach. And eventually become the face of Chanel. Slowly but surely! What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? The girl's/boy's bodies and faces on the advertisements are never totally real. They're perfected by Photoshop and heavy lights. And of course, good makeup too. Different colours in the pictures can bring out a different mood. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I communicate well with people. If they treat me with respect I will return it. I'm patient to a certain extent. But no, I don't lash out at people.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? I eat everything in moderation. I used to be vegetarian, but I don't recommend it if you're using it to "lose weight". What is your dream role as a model? To be the face of a big big brand. Walking down a red carpet of some 'A-list' celebrity event. Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? I don't do nude projects currently. State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours? I would travel, full time.

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? I'm already an actor and have done a couple of small modeling gigs previously. I would like to expand my experience and exposure as a model to go along with my acting career. How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? Modeling education can be good for a foundation on what is being done and why, but as with acting, a lot of it is just being natural and yourself. I haven't taken any specific modeling courses, my experience and learning has come from observing and on-the-job training. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? I think it takes confidence more than anything else as that can be seen through the photos taken. Being in shape seems to also be what the market leans towards. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
My goals would include being accepted into the industry for who I am and what I can bring to the table. Every project requires it's own specific look and feel and I think I can be a part of this riding in tandem with my acting career.
What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? I've been in TV, web and print ads as an actor and I'm also a photographer on the side. I know how shoots work and why they produce what they produce in order to see a product/service. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I've lived and worked in Hollywood for 8 years and currently 6 years in the industry in Singapore. Professionalism is something you pick up rather quickly if you plan on going anywhere. Pride and ego can get you blacklisted fast! Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I love food, but I know that I need to watch what I eat as best I can. Depending on my schedule, I go to the gym at least 4 times a week.

What is your dream role as a model?
My dream role as a model would be to land an international campaign for a product. I'm really interested in travel and adventures, if it was related to that, then that would be amazing! Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
In regards to limitations, I steer clear of things that aren't done in a tasteful manner or are unprofessional. State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part-time? Any hours?
At the moment, I'm quite flexible and willing to be flown internationally for shoots. Tell us what's your memorable experience so far.
My most memorable experience as a model would be the shoot I did for Sony earphones where it looked like I was running. The whole process of getting the shot was really interesting when comparing to the final image. It also helped that I had a great time with the crew that day!

MODEL
MADISON LINDFORS
Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? Hi, I'm Maddi, and I lived and modelled in Japan for five years, and I just moved back to the USA! I'm 18 and just graduated high school. I am experienced in photo shoots, runways and commercials. I want to work as a model because it makes me happy and it has made me very confident in myself throughout the years I've done it. I'd like modelling to be my career because I feel like I can get somewhere with it, and I would have fun doing that! How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? I never took any modelling course or anything like it, I've been told I pose naturally and that it's a talent that photographers like. What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model? What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? I think that anyone can be a model if they tried. My goal as a model is just to have fun with it and make friends along the way :) I see myself growing as a model every day and every shoot I do! What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? Well in my school I took a marketing/business class, worked at a graphic design office in my town, and I took photography for two years and AP Studio Arts, so I think I'm pretty well-rounded.

How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I think I'm pretty quirky, friendly and straightforward when it comes to communication, and I have been told by many people I have worked with that it makes them more comfortable but I think it's just my quirky personality. I'm very patient; I have to be with two younger siblings. I am very open to clients' requirements because I know that some things must happen to make a shoot amazing and possible. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? I eat healthy as often as I can, but I always find myself drinking soda a day. I usually eat two meals and snack throughout the day. Surprisingly I haven't been to the gym in years, and I got a C in gym class. However, I do plan on starting to exercise; I won't always be able to depend on my metabolism. What is your dream role as a model? I don't have a dream role. I just want to keep modelling; it made me open up and blossom. Before modelling, I was so shy and always kept to myself, but now I am more confident and outgoing! Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? My only limitation is nude shoots; I just don't feel comfortable enough to do that. State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part-time? Any hours? I travel, but it just depends on the payment. As for my working time, I just graduated high school this year so I work whenever I can. Before I left my weekends available but now I can be open to shoots during the weekdays. Tell us what's your memorable experience so far. My most memorable experience is when I did a televised runway for hair in Japan as the primary model for the hair salon I was representing. It was the most hype runway I've done so far and the adrenaline was amazing!
“My aspiration in life is to pretty much live a long, full of modelling. I hope to continue modelling for as long as I possible can.

MODEL
JOELL GRACE PERRY
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? I'm a 14 year old, and at age 5 I realised I always wanted to be in front of the camera. As I got older I started making my own videos, acting, and pretending I was a fashion model. I live in the country in Iowa, so there aren't many opportunities for acting or modelling. My parents enrolled me in a small Musical Theater Production Company and my acting coach encouraged me to spread my wings. I told my parents I wanted to act and learn more and go on auditions. In 2014 I auditioned for AMTC (Actors Models, & Talent for Christ). I got in the program however all my classes would be held in Chicago about 4 1/2 hours away. My parents knew this was what I really wanted to do so they made the commitment to drive me to my classes ever other week. Towards the end of my program I grew, and one month before my graduation from ATMC I was told I should enter the Fashion Modeling divisions as well. In January 2016 I graduated from the program and received many call backs from various modelling and acting agencies. After much prayer my parents signed me with Brita Jackson from Arquette Talents in Minneapolis. How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? I have attending modeling course through AMTC and Arquettes. I'm home schooled and 14 years old, but I'm ahead on my studies. I continue my acting classes as well. By August 2016 I have completed 3 weeks Acting for Film from the New York Film and Academy, where I received a scholarship. My parents have taught me this industry is a marathon and not a race. I always want to and will continue to learn about modeling/acting. What do you think makes someone “fit to be a model? I have learned that modeling is hard work. Before I started I just thought it was all about "just being in front of the camera." My agent has taught me eating properly, regular exercise, and a positive frame of mind is what I need to have. Since I also act I have been able to use my acting skills during a photo shoot when the photographer is asking for a certain kind of emotion. Improv also helps with modeling. I believe someone fit to be a model must have all the skills as I talked about. But, most of all I have learned to never compare myself to other models. God made each of us different with different beauties and different talents. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? My goal is continue to learn, continue to grow, and continue to be open minded to improvement. Of course my goal is to be success but I do realize and know I'm just starting off and it will take a lot of hard work. I have learned that for every yes I get for a booking, I have received 100 no's. But I keep persevering and not let that get me down.
What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography? I'm 14 years old and I'm still learning about all of it. I know I represent the product I'm modeling for so its important I set a good example. I don't know much about advertising psychology but I'm willing to learn and I have learned a lot from the different photographers I have worked with. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I have been told I'm very easy going and I take direction really well. When I'm on a shoot I love to talk to the make up artist, stylist, and photographers and learn about them. I believe it's important to build friendships and relationships in the industry. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? Yes, I eat very good. I live on a hobby farm and we have a huge garden. I help my mom can and freeze all of our veggies for the winter. I also have a lot of chores on the hobby farm. We raise our own laying hens, so we have fresh eggs all the time. Plus I help with other chores. I exercise with my mom daily. What is your dream role as a model? My dream as a model is to set the example as you don't have to show your body off to be beautiful. I have a lot of 9-10 year old girls who follow me on Instagram and I feel I need to encourage and let them see that you can be clothed and beautiful all at the same time. Never lower your standards and beliefs just for money. I have turned down opportunities because I did not feel comfortable with the job and I don't want myself seen like that. I want to represent the pure and young. Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? I will not shoot nude or anything that is provocative for my age. I will not shoot with another girl in a sexual way either. My agent knows this and has been very good at honoring my request. My parents have taught me that times are changing but it is important that I represent my self as they call it "the old school way". State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part-time? Any hours? I'm home schooled, my flexibility is open and yes I would travel. Tell us what's your memorable experience so far. My most memorable experience is when I won VIP Choice Award 2016 for Fashion Model at my AMTC graduation January 2016.

Im a typical 14 year old who has dreams of becoming a famous model, but as I'm learning in the industry it is a lot of hard work. My parents have kept me grounded and my agent Brita Jackson (Arquette and Associates) has taught me a lot of what I need to do, how I need to act, how I need to live my life, how to stay healthy, and how to stick to my beliefs. She has taught me there is more to modeling then what I originally had thought. Â My aspiration is to continue to learn, grow, take criticisms as it comes and not take it personally. To keep an open mind and to always have the desire to learn, to never think I know it all. Most of all even if I don't become a known famous model I still want to impact other peoples lives by setting an example and embracing who you are, and never to compare who you are to other models, actors, and society. Because God created you for who you are.
