A BIG LAROSNS SALUTE goes to LaSalle senior Ben Kelhoffer, who received the Award of Courage during the "That's My Boy" presentation of champiOnship-and ttwas a back-to-hack effort Ryan turned man llllpresstve . the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Ben was a running 50.51 in the I 00 backstroke to win a gold medal in that event for the second back/receiver for the Lancers this season despite being diagnosed with Chronic consecutive year. This three-time swimming prep All-American and '98 first team All-City selection was an important member oflast season's state championship squad, Myeleoid Leukemia. Ben needs a bone marrow transplant, and several events and helped his team earn several more medals at th.e state meet this season. Ryan took are upcoming to help raise funds for the effort. Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m., is an --.... third in the 100 butterfly (50.54) and was part of the second place 200 medley al~you ccin, eat breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, etc) at St. John's on (1:34.63) and 400 freestyle (3:07.28) relay teams. Only a junior, Ryan will be back Dry Ridge Road in Colerain Township (Call Jan 385-3029). On Saturday, again next year and heavily counted on by Bombers' coach Dave Coffinan.
