THE OPPORTUNITY We establish local community journalists to capture, edit, and broadcast local news and information on African and migrant communities in the UK. Working with local partners, we recruit, train, develop, and sustain a team of skilled and competent local journalists to produce text, audio, video, and other multimedia contents.

THE CANDIDATE To qualify for this role, you need to be: • • • •

Passionate about digital storytelling for local communities Desire to come up with new and innovative ways of telling these stories Willingness to learn and develop skills on using a vast array of different skills, tools, and platforms. Engage in local and social media to tell your stories, develop relationships, and to discover what it is that gets the local community talking.

Produce high-quality, accurate stories and live contents

Source and produce the best articles and get the most out of them digitally.

Use a range of digital tools and platforms to tell stories, including video, audio, infographics and maps and drive engagement

Establish local media which is accountable and responsive to the local communities. Local communities to become better informed and engaged Locals to grow and cultivate better relationships with what is happening around them Enhance active participation by local communities Timely access to information, resources, and opportunities Increase media literacy and engagement Reduce information inequalities
