Volume 1 Issue 3
Spring 2016
Every Wednesday at 9 am at the Ringhaver Student Center!
We love dogs! Who doesn’t?! Sure we bring them on campus during exams to de-stress, but what about all the other days of the semester? Bring your dog to school day is a real thing that happens once a month. Treats for you and your pal will be provided, plus contests and pictures and games! Yay! (Also this is our excuse to put dogs in this issue because they’re cute.)
4 miles from the Atlantic ocean. FOUR MILES! That’s it! And oh boy do we use it. Beach activities are definitely a thing: bonfires, volleyball games, star gazing, and, of course, surfing.
At the end of every month we organize what we like to call, “Coastal Cluster”, where we want you and all your friends to come out and enjoy the perks of living in St. Augustine.
Clubs in college are magnificent ways to meet people and find things you may enjoy as well as take a break from all the serious schoolwork we do. There’s The Sound, which is all about open mic nights. And there’s AIGA for artists and designers, Deaf Ed
Club, Archaeology Club, and oh, Adventure Club, where you just go on adventures all the time. And, of course, CAB, which organizes lots and lots of activites on campus. There are so many more clubs, too many to name, but you can check all of them out at flagler.edu!
St. Augustine has some really fantastic food trucks, but it can be difficult to find them because they’re all over the place! So we bring them to you with our Food Truck Rally. Once a month, they’ll line up in front of our library and give you a variety of food for you to enjoy. There’s Crave, Wingin’ It, Nalus, Big Island Bowls, Wauga Wauga, and lots more.
Flagler has the absolute best spot for hanging. Daily, students set up their hammocks in the Palm Garden and study, watch movies, or just chill. And there’s planned gatherings that people come here for. So grab your hammock, some friends, and get out there!

Every first Friday of the month, St. Augustine has art walk. And Flagler has an art program...see where we’re going? It’s a chance for students to sell and display their work. One of the many of these first Fridays, Flagler students lined up to make chalk art, and masterpieces abound.
On the other side of First Friday, Flagler Creates is an annual event where students and faculty sell a variety of handmade objects. Terrariums, beanies and scarves, paintings, books, lots and lots of things to look at and buy! Flagler loves art and supporting art and showing art so join in!
Do you know how great St. Augustine is? Because it’s really an incredible place and we are quite fond of it. There are so many things to do and see; just because we are a small town doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do here. And we want you to
love St. Augustine as much as we love it, so we thought we’d show it off. Here are some of our favorite spots (outside of campus, of course, because we’re biased and we think the Ponce de Leon Hotel should be the center of the world).

We know it’s a bit early to be thinking about college, and we don’t want to stress you out. But it’s really great here, and we think you’d like it (it is as amazing as we make it seem).
