Moore Chamber Announces its Inaugural Awards Mixer
The Moore Chamber of Commerce will proudly recognize members of the Moore community that reach exceptional achievements in leadership and business growth with an inaugural Chamber “Salute to Excellence” Awards Mixer on Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Oklahoma City Community College at 7777 S. May in OKC. The Mixer, which will be an annual event, will serve to raise the profile of the businesses and professionals of the Moore area that exemplify the excellence that makes our community world-class. Individual tickets are $50.

Small Business of the Year • Must be a business that has been in operation at least five (5) years. • Must be a member in good standing of the Moore Chamber of Commerce. • Must be a "for profit" business with fewer than 50 employees in the Moore area. • Growth through revenue and creation of jobs. • Innovative products and services. • Volunteerism of employee base. • Demonstrates economic support of the
Moore area business community.
Large Business of the Year • Must be a business that has been in operation for at least five (5) years. • Must be a member in good standing of the Moore Chamber of Commerce. • Must be a “for-profit” business with 50 or more employees in the Moore area. • Growth through revenue and creation of jobs. • Innovative products and services. • Volunteerism of employee base. • Demonstrates economic support of the
Moore area business community.
Trailblazer of the Year (Entrepreneur) • Must be a local entrepreneur, business or service provider. • Must be a business that has been in operation 3 years or less. • Must be a member in good standing of the Moore Chamber of Commerce. • Demonstrates involvement in the engagement, development and growth of entrepreneurship. • Positive impact on entrepreneurship or small business activity in the community. Rising Star • Service and involvement in the Moore area. • Initiative in seeking and fulfilling leadership roles throughout the community. • Professionalism in their field of work. • Vision and passion to mentor and lead others.
Employee/Team of the Year • Must be employed by a business with a membership in good standing with the
Moore Chamber of Commerce, during the dates of Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021. • Nominee must be a regular employee(s), with their accomplishments occurring during this time period. • Must demonstrate community involvement and/or make civic contributions.
Legacy Award (Lifetime Achievement) • Individual making a significant development in the history of Moore area. • Displays long-term leadership for over 30 years. • Volunteerism that results in civic, social or economic improvement of the community that lasts over a period of time. • This award may not be awarded each year.
Citizen of the Year • Current or former chamber-member business owner, senior officer, or community leader who has, over the course of his or her career, demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Moore area and its business community. • Citizen in the Moore area involved in growing the community through their vision and leadership. • Demonstrated commitment to voluntary service. • Displays high ethical and personal integrity.
