(Left)Existing site. An on campus outdoor a m p h i t h e a t e r . Ta s k : t o R e g e n e r a t e t h e area using my knowledge of sustainable devices, design and related programmatic responses. The resulting design comprised of rainwater collection systems, solar shading and energy (pv) systems, and a fo r m - wo r k t h a t wo u l d n ot o n l y b e rea c t i ve to the acoustics of the users on the site, but also increase visibility of the flat area to influence use.

Regenerative Response From the existing site to the final design approach, a series of diagrams follows which narrate the process through which we considered rainwater usage, sun shading, and solar reactive systems, acoustic properties, and programmatic responses.

Ta s k : t o R e d e s i g n a M A R TA s t a t i o n i n downtown Atlanta, I used this assignment to study how wind could be used to revitalize the underground conditions of t h e N o r t h Ave n u e t ra i n s ta t i o n . U s i n g the existing wind patterns, I was able to c rea te a fo r m t h a t p u l l e d t h e w i n d fro m t h e g ro u n d f l o o r to t h e p l a t fo r m .

Developing the form of this station redesign consisted of a series of wind analysis using Flow Design by Autodesk and existing knowledge of wind tunneling effects that are created by the surrounding buildings in the area. The final product was a design that would capture the wind creating a better

In the end I was able to create a s e re n i t y fo u nta i n t h a t a t p l a te s interacted with materials. First acrylic (the main container), then w o o d + s te e l , t h e n w o o d + c o p p e r, and again. The change of the materials and the use of a pump to create a cycle through which the wa te r h a d to co nt i n u e a l l owe d fo r m a ny d i f fe re nt wa te r a n d l i g ht i n g patterns to be created over time .
