Grub

Skin

Sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings and nachos big enough to be a meal on their own are some of the calling cards of a good pub. Bonus points if that restaurant has the game on, games of its own and some good fries and shakes to boot. Here, a look at some of the terrific burger restaurants and gastropubs found in Las Vegas.

Guys, spend a wild night out with some exotic ladies at one of these revues in Las Vegas. Crazy Horse III (3525 W. Russell Road, 702.673.1700) offers two gladiator-style VIP areas overlooking a large square stage in the center of the room and private cabanas for the more discreet customer 24 hours a day. Dynamic vocals and hilarious comedy take center stage alongside a talented cast of beautiful dancers in Fantasy (Luxor, 702.262.4400). The sexy production showcases 15 high-energy numbers set to a variety of today’s top music genres. Imaginative choreography meets today’s hottest music in X Burlesque (Flamingo, 702.777.2782). Enjoy a classic striptease performed to Michael Bublé’s “Fever” in a traditional burlesque champagne glass in the “Champagne Wishes” segment.

Soft pretzels with provolone fondue, house potato chips with onion dip and cheddar and potato pierogies, and that’s just to start at Culinary Dropout (Hard Rock Hotel, 702.522.8100). A raw bar, some darn good fried chicken, a great weekend brunch and beer in a paper bag are just some of the calling cards at this gem. Talk about a guy’s haven. Guy Fieri, that is. Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar (The Linq, 702.794.3139) features a game day menu of dynamite shrimp, trash can nachos, pulled pork sandwiches and bacon mac and cheese burgers. Hangover recovery bloody marys even make the menu. You don’t have to be a stats fanatic to enjoy the scene at Moneyline (Park MGM, 702.730.7777. While the sports book handles all things gaming, the food side features sweet and sticky chicken wings, seven layer dip, hot fried chicken sandwiches and more. Some dishes can even be purchased by the pound.

Bars

March Madness, NASCAR in Las Vegas and more top sporting events call for good food to go along with rooting for a favorite. TAP Sports Bar (MGM Grand, 702.891-7433) features 60 HD flat screen TVs along with sports memorabilia from some of the greatest athletes in history. Pair sports with burgers, nachos and pastrami sandwiches. Emeril Lagasse kicks it up a notch with his Creole take on bar food at Lagasse’s Stadium (The Palazzo, 702.607.2665). Sports fans will appreciate the 100-plus televisions and sports book built into the comfortable room with stadium seating. Order Emeril’s crab cake with Creole oil or barbecue shrimp to start and then move on to an oyster or shrimp po’boy or a lobster grilled cheese while cheering on your favorite team. 15

INSIDER’S GUIDE

Top Concierge Picks for Brunch in Las Vegas Brunch is like a sport in Las Vegas, with every resort offering some riff on the option. To make that decision a little easier, we asked concierges to pick out their top recommendations. MICAH HONZAY, WALDORF ASTORIA RESIDENTIAL CONCIERGE The best place to brunch on the Strip is Bardot Brasserie at Aria. The brioche French toast is so delicious and decadent, it’s a party for your mouth. TAMMY COOPER, CONCIERGE AND GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER AT THE MANSION AT MGM GRAND In the past it was jazz brunch at Country Club inside the Wynn. By far the best brunch I’ve ever had. Live jazz band playing with an incredible buffet station of food to choose from. The buffet was high quality, fresh food

and they also had a small menu of made to order food. This was all included in one set price. This has now moved over to Lakeside at Wynn, which I hear is just as amazing. Border Grill at Mandalay Bay is also fantastic. It’s an all-you-caneat, made-to-order Mexican small plates for one set price. You can sit inside or on their outdoor patio. JENNA SANG, CHEF CONCIERGE AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD RESORT The only way to indulge in brunch is to enjoy it with endless glasses of PerrierJouet Champagne at Sterling Brunch at Bally’s Las Vegas, inside BLT Steak. This

experience is only available on Sundays so book ahead! ALAN DE LEON, TOWER SUITES REPRESENTATIVE AT ARIA Park on Fremont in Downtown Las Vegas features a great brunch menu, with ham and Swiss Monte Cristo, garbage fries, avocado toast (for the Millennials) but most importantly, their mimosas. CANDACE ORTIZ, ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER AT NOMAD HOTEL I like to send guests to Herringbone for brunch. I love the fresh seafood, carving stations, ricotta pancakes and so much more.

KRISTI AMUNDSON, CONCIERGE AT THE CROMWELL For brunch, I like to send guests to Mon Ami Gabi over at Paris Las Vegas. They have a beautiful patio that overlooks the Fountains at Bellagio and their chicken apple brie crepe is to die for. ASHLEY BROWN, CONCIERGE SUPERVISOR AT NEW YORK-NEW YORK Tom’s Urban Mostof-the-Day brunch at New York-New York has a wide selection of unique items and yummy drinks to re-energize you! I recommend the Napoleon Down Mexican Way omelet.
