O w n e r s , G r e g G r a nt & Ste p h e n d e H a a n With a combined 50+ years in the hospitality industry, Stephen de Haan and Greg Grant discovered the over 12,000 square foot iconic Dailey’s location in downtown Atlanta. As the 100 year old building had been vacant for many years, a complete renovation took place including importing two 6,000 pound Italian wood burning ovens.

During this time, the owners traveled throughout Naples to source the best ingredients from the Campania region. They later staged with Italian Pizzaiolo Maestros before bringing Amalfi Pizza, a traditional Neapolitan trattoria to life. Their restaurant has already been named by Zagat as a “must try Atlanta Pizzeria.”

In Full Bloom Since its founding in 1976, the 30-acre Atlanta Botanical Garden has bloomed into a veritable Eden. The sprawling garden is ripe for meandering a day away among its stunning flora and fauna. If you're tight on time, we recommend taking in the magnificent Midtown views while cloaked in the aroma of your favorite plants. 90 MINUTES IN:

Atlanta Botanical Garden Located adjacent to Piedmont Park, the garden offers formal Japanese and rose gardens, two woodland areas, a whimsical children’s garden, indoor exhibits of plants from tropical rainforests and deserts (not to mention tropical birds, turtles and poison dart frogs), plus the largest collection of species orchids on permanent display in the U.S. Don't miss the edible garden and 600-foot-long skywalk that allows visitors to tour one of the city’s last remaining urban forests from 40 feet in the air. Longleaf is a farm-to-table restaurant that offers incredible views and a delectable menu onsite. On view from May 6-Oct. 29, "The Curious Garden" interweaves bold, manmade elements of whimsy with the garden's abundant greenery. www.atlantabg.org

Ask the Expert YOUR CONCIERGE

Janice Dempsey

Concierge, Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta —KRISTINA DREW Q: Where do you send guests who are looking for a way to keep cool? A: Six Flags White Water is the best place to cool off with slides, rides, and other aquatic activities. Callaway Gardens is a short drive south and has water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, zip lining, and hiking. Or you could spend the day at the Georgia Aquarium and swim with the whale sharks! Q: Where's the best place to get a frozen margarita in town? A: Always great is Red Phone Booth—a prohibition experience located downtown—for a craft margarita. Try Bartaco for their Skinny margarita, as well as Agave and No Mas! Cantina.

Georgia Aquarium is a not-for-profit organization, inspiring awareness and conservation of aquatic animals.

Q: Where would you send a guest looking to enjoy some Atlanta nightlife? A: Atlanta is never lacking for fun and energetic nightlife. The sexy Regent Cocktail Club at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta offers rooftop views, live music, and a lively crowd. Of course, Johnny's Hideaway seems to be where everyone ends up. Q: Where can a family on the go have a quick lunch? A: Certainly South City Kitchen Buckhead for great food, service, and a super patio with misters in the summer. Downtown, try Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken at Peachtree Center Mall. In Midtown, an old favorite is Einstein's on Juniper Street.

When Culinary Worlds Collide Visit the mind-altering culinary crossroads created by chefs who just can’t settle on one type of cuisine. From sushi-stuffed burgers to moo shu enchiladas and everything in between, these restaurants create far-out dishes that mix the best of two (or more) worlds. —MICHELLE KHOURI BON TON This new spot in Midtown interweaves Cajun, Vietnamese and Mediterranean flavors in ways we never knew possible. For a personification of creative fusion, try the falafel banh-mi sandwich—cauliflower falafel, pickled veggies and remoulade. An extensive bar program helps you wash it all down with concoctions (that are just as creative as the food) like the Hanoi Hurrah or the Frenchmen St. Alley Cat. 674 Myrtle St. NE, Midtown, 404.996.6177. www. bontonatl.com

JAI HO This new Indian eatery serves up a long menu with global influences peppered throughout. While most dishes showcase the vibrant spices

and flavors of Northern India—including some of our favorites like tandoori chicken, lamb biriyani and palak paneer—other dishes add pops of from around the world. Take the calamari cochin, for instance, which spices the traditionally Mediterranean fried squid dish with Indian masala.
