Theatre Visits Term 2
Maths Department UK Senior Maths Challenge 44 sixth form students took part in this prestigious competition They gained…… 17 bronze certificates 8 silver certificates 4 gold certificates
Three students progressed to the invitation only follow on rounds – James and Connor now enter the European Kangaroo competition

Leo enters the first round of the Mathematical Olympiad (which is a 3 and a half hour paper!) All achieved certificates of participation
Year 12 and 13 Art students worked with a tutor and model from Weston College. Students worked in twilight sessions and produced fantastic work which they will add to their Unit 1 and 3 of their A level.
We were also visited by Abbie Harris, an exstudent from Wellsway. Abbie is studying Fine Art at Manchester after completing A levels here and an Art Foundation course. All students were inspired by Abbie’s work and enthusiasm for her subject and course.
Music
Our fabulous Christmas Concert was held on the 16th & 17th December to packed houses. The programme showcased the fantastic work of our extra curricular music groups with exceptional performances from the orchestra, windband, male choir, girls’ choir, community choir, flute ensemble, ukulele group and our A- level Music students. Many thanks go to the sixth form team for the refreshments during the interval.

Year 13 Reunion Thursday December 18th It was lovely to welcome back so many familiar faces to this years reunion celebration.
After drinks and nibbles we all settled down as their ex-tutors introduced photo stories of each tutor group before moving on to the presentation of their results certificates, and finally onto the schools awards. A list of the awards can be found through the news section of the sixth form website. We will miss you, please remember to come back and say hello!!!
