Il Viaggio Travel Atelier, fondato a Milano nel 1972 da Anna Maria Moroni, una bergamasca DOC, è un tour operator di grande individui che han fatto del viaggio la loro passione. Negli anni l’azienda si è discostata dai classici servizi e ha creato concetto di “consulente su misura”. istituendo, in varie località del nord Italia, dei Travel Lounges: esclusivi salotti, nei quali si riceve solo su appuntamento, dove disegnare e creare itinerari, emozioni ed esperienze su misura. Nel 2017 la prestigiosa rivista Forbes annovera Ico Inanc, Managing Director e figlio d’arte, uno dei miglior 12 Travel Designer al mondo. Il Viaggio Travel Atelier, founded in Milan in 1972 by Anna Maria Moroni, is a tour operator run by high profile people who turned their great passion for travel into a profession. Over the years the company has moved away from the traditional travel agency and tour operator services to create a new concept, that of “tailored travel consultant”. Several Travel Lounges have been opened in various locations in Northern Italy: exclusive salons by appointment only, where itineraries, emotions and experiences are thought and planned to suit every client. In 2017 the prestigious Forbes Magazine nominated Ico Inanc, Managing Director and born in the business, one of the best 12 Travel Designers in the world.

Era il 1989 quando Guia Ghidoli e Ico Inanc si incontrato e conoscono nei corridoi dell’international School di Milano. 30 anni dopo i due, rispettivamente School Director dell’International School di Bergamo e Managing Director de IL Viaggio Travel Atelier, hanno deciso di dar vita ad un progetto unendo le loro competenze e creando un legame tra istruzione, turismo e sostenibilità. Cosi nasce l’Off Site Learning Experience: una serie di offerte di viaggio rivolte agli studenti più grandi e più piccoli, ma anche alle loro famiglie.
In 1989 Guia Ghidoli and Ico Inanc met while at the International School of Milano. 30 years later, the two, one School Director of the International School of Bergamo and the other Managing Director of Il Viaggio Travel Atelier, decided to launch a new project by combining their skills and linking education, tourism and sustainability. This is how the Off Site Learning Experience originated: a selection of travel offers specifically directed to students, young and mature, but also to their families.
La International School of Bergamo offre agli studenti e alle loro famiglie la possibilità di partecipare a una serie di viaggi su misura in Italia e nel mondo, e continuare la formazione scolastica anche fuori dalla classe, approfondendo le units nel mondo reale. L’obiettivo è quello di imparare divertendosi, stimolando la curiosità dei ragazzi attraverso attività e itinerari di interesse. Ogni mese vi presenteremo una selezione di destinazioni e mete collegate ad alcune units, pensate per adattarsi alle esigenze e agli interessi degli studenti più piccoli e più grandi, ma anche per essere stimolanti per i loro genitori. E poi vi forniremo alcuni suggerimenti per viaggi adatti a tutta la famiglia: una selezione di destinazioni dove adulti e ragazzi possono rilassarsi e trascorrere del tempo di qualità insieme. The International School of Bergamo offers its students and their families the opportunity to take part in a range of tailor made journeys, both in Italy and worldwide, and the chance to continue the students’ education even outside the classroom, in order to learn more about the units firsthand. This is not only a chance to relax and discover new places but a way to enrich their education outside the classroom, by meeting new cultures and traditions. The aim is to learn while having fun, stimulating the students’ curiosity through interesting activi- ties and itineraries. Each month we will feature a selection of destinations related to specific units, designed to meet the needs and interests of young and mature students, but also attractive and engaging for their parents. Moreover, we will offer useful tips for trips suitable for all the family with a choice of destinations where young and adults can unwind and enjoy quality time together.

The treasures by Gaudí
Architetto e designer, Antoni Gaudí fu il principale rappresentante della corrente Art Nouveau in Spagna. A Barcellona costruì alcuni fra i monumenti più suggestivi dell’intera città, come il Parco Güell, la Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, Casa Vicens e molti altri. Fu un pioniere nel suo campo: utilizzava il colore, le consistenze e il movimento in modi che fino ad allora non erano mai stati immaginati. Le sue opere, sia compiute che incomplete, sono una testimonianza del suo genio e veri e propri simboli della città spagnola.
IL POLMONE VERDE DELLA CITTÀ The green lung of the city Uno dei luoghi più verdi e panoramici di Barcellona è il Parco del Montjuïc, protagonista dell’Esposizione Universale del 1929 e dei Giochi Olimpici del 1992, per i quali furono costruiti palazzi, padiglioni, giardini botanici, stadi sportivi e centri espositivi. Ma il parco nasconde anche un castello che risale al 1640, da dove è possibile ammirare paesaggi incredibili su tutta la città e sul Mar Mediterraneo, e che si può raggiungere con una funivia per godere ancora di più dello spettacolo della natura e della metropoli. One of the greenest and most panoramic spots in Barcelona is Montjuïc Park, the protagonist of the Universal Exhibition of 1929 and the Olympic Games of 1992, for which they erected buildings, pavilions, botanical gardens, stadiums and exhibition centres. But the park also hides a castle that dates back to 1640, from which it is possible to admire incredible landscapes all over the city and the Mediterranean Sea, and which can be reached via cable car to fully enjoy the sight of nature and the metropolis.
Architect and designer, Antoni Gaudí was the main representative of the Art Nouveau movement in Spain. In Barcelona he created some of the city’s most remarkable landmarks, such as the Park Güell, the Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, Casa Vicens and much more. He was a pioneer in his field: he used to employ colour, texture and movement in ways never before imagined. His works, both finished and uncompleted, stand as testimony to his genius and as symbols of the Spanish city.

Explorers Nel 1992, a 500 anni dalla scoperta dell’America, fu inaugurato un sentiero fra trekking e storia per celebrare la figura di Cristoforo Colombo. Seguite le orme della famiglia del navigatore per più di 19 chilometri dall’entroterra ligure fino a Genova e visitate la casa in cui Colombo crebbe e visse tra il 1455 e il 1470: venne ricostruita nel XVIII secolo ed è oggi un museo situato fuori dalle mura trecentesche della città. Infine scoprite il Galata – Museo del Mare, un museo marittimo nel porto di Genova, che mette in mostra dipinti, carte nautiche medievali, atlanti, strumenti di bordo e molto altro ancora. Bauhaus Fondato da Walter Gropius nei primi anni del XX secolo, il Bauhaus è un movimento che aveva il fine utopico di creare una forma radicalmente nuova di architettura per contribuire alla ricostruzione della società a seguito delle devastazioni della Prima Guerra Mondiale, favorendo un design razionale e funzionale che seguiva la filosofia “less is more”. La città che meglio rappresenta i principi del Bauhaus è Weimar, dove il movimento ebbe origine, ma può essere scoperto anche a Berlino, dove il Bauhaus-Archiv Museum für Gestaltung custodisce una collezione di documenti sulla storia e gli obiettivi del movimento, o a Dessau, dove nel 2019 è stato costruito un altro museo per celebrare il centenario del Bauhaus. Endangered animals In Sudafrica le baie riparate del Capo Occidentale vengono visitate ogni anno da esemplari di balena franca australe che migrano qui dall’Antartide per riprodursi. Siccome questa specie di balene tende ad avvicinarsi molto alla costa, è sempre stata considerata facile da cacciare e ha rischiato l’estinzione: dal 1937, infatti, è stata protetta e salvata. La migrazione si svolge tra i mesi di giugno e ottobre, quando, da alcuni tratti della costa, è possibile avvistare esemplari di balena franca australe mentre nuotano e saltano fuori dall’acqua. In South Africa, the sheltered bays of the Western Cape are visited every year by southern right whales that migrate here from Antarctica to mate and calve. Since these species of whales tend to come in close to shore, they were easier to hunt and became endangered: since 1937, therefore, they had become protected and had been saved from extinction. Migration takes place between June and October, when, along some parts of the coast, you can spot southern right whales swimming and breaching from shore.
