Did you know that Ravenna is the Italian city with the closest historical ties to the Byzantine Empire?

Thanks to its strategic position on the Adriatic Sea, it was the capital of the Western Roman Empire before being conquered by the Byzantines in 540 A.D. To this day, there are many monuments that date back to that period, such as the Basilica of San Vitale, known for its superb mosaics, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of San Apollinare in Classe and many more.

La Prima Monna Lisa è a Torino

Don’t miss the chance to admire the original painting of the First Mona Lisa, which Leonardo da Vinci completed around ten years before the famous version housed at the Louvre. The painting will be displayed until 26th May 2024 in the prestigious headquarters of the Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti, located in the Valentino Park in Turin.

Non perdete l’occasione di ammirare il quadro originale della Prima Monna Lisa, realizzata da Leonardo da Vinci circa dieci anni prima di quella esposta al Louvre. Fino al 26 maggio 2024 il dipinto è esposto nella prestigiosa sede della Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti, all’interno del parco del Valentino di Torino.

Impressionism – 150 years since its first exhibition

L’Impressionismo a 150 anni dalla sua prima mostra

On 15th April 1874 the first unofficial Impressionist exhibition was organised in Paris. To celebrate 150 years since Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, Sisley and Cézanne joined forces, the Musée d’Orsay of Paris will be showcasing around 130 works of art made by the masters of Impressionism. The exhibition will run from 26th March to 14th July 2024, offering a new perspective on this date, a key moment for modern art.

Il 15 aprile 1874 fu organizzata a Parigi la prima mostra non ufficiale dell’impressionismo. Per celebrare i 150 anni dall’esposizione di Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, Sisley e Cézanne, il Musée d’Orsay di Parigi presenterà - dal 26 marzo al 14 luglio 2024circa 130 opere dei maestri impressionisti, per proporre un nuovo sguardo su questa data chiave per l’arte moderna.
