ODP 101 Beginner Academy and ODP GK Academy kick off in Canton and East Lansing on September 6, followed

by Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, and Grand Rapids on September 13. Finally, the Kalamazoo site begins its trainings on September 20.

Olympic Development Program – 2008 Age Group The Michigan State Youth Soccer Association is excited to announce the addition of the 2008 age group to the Olympic Development Program. MSYSA is holding an “Identification Day” for the 2008 age group on November 10, 2019 at Total Soccer Wixom. Click here for more information/to register. MSYSA’s ODP 101 Beginner Academy & ODP Goalkeeper Academy Registration is Open! Players born in the 09-11 birth years are eligible to participate in the 101 Beginner Academy program and players in the 03-09 birth years are eligible to participate in the Goalkeeper Academy program. Registration ends one week prior to each site seasonal start date. The cost to register is Full Year ($300), Half Year ($175), and One Season Only ($100). Coaching Education *US Soccer Grassroots Roadshow* In August 2019, U.S. Soccer launched a pilot version of our Grassroots Roadshow in partnership with the Aspen Institute and Michigan State Youth Soccer Association.

The Roadshow events are designed to provide coaching education resources for grassroots coaches and community member organizations with a focus on improving everyday environments to retain more players and coaches. Coaches who attended received 10 vouchers to begin grassroots coaching education for their respective organizations.

2019-20 ODP 101 Beginner Academy & ODP Goalkeeper Academy Registration is open!

Registration for the ODP 101 Beginner Academy & ODP Goalkeeper Academy is open for the 2019-20 seasons. Players born in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 birth years are eligible to register for the 101 Beginner Academy. Players born in the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 birth years are eligible to register for the Goalkeeper Academy.

About the ODP 101 Beginner Academy To provide additional training opportunities to competitive/travel players seeking new challenges and to help identify the level of youth soccer players within Michigan. Training will be focused on developing the player’s technical, tactical, physical and psycho-social ability through the MSYSA’s ODP age appropriate player curriculum. Pricing is as follows: Full Year ($300), Half Year ($175), One Season Only ($100) Regional Locations: Ann Arbor, Canton, East Lansing, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Royal Oak. About the ODP Goalkeeper Academy To provide a professional training environment for youth goalkeepers from around Michigan. Training will be focused on developing the goalkeepers through the MSYSA’s ODP age appropriate curriculum. 2008 AGE GROUP ODP IDENTIFICATION DAY - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2019 AT TOTAL SOCCER - WIXOM Players in the 2008 age group wishing to participate in the program should register for the ID Day and must attend both sessions.
