ODP 101 & ODP Goalkeeper Academy – Summer Out of an abundance of caution and based on guidelines set forth in the Michigan Safe Start Plan, we are cancelling all Summer training sessions for ODP 101 and GK Academy. We feel this decision is necessary to ensure player safety. For both ODP 101 and GK Academy, registered participants will receive a: • Full refund - If registered for Spring Only, Summer Only, or Spring/Summer • Prorated refund - If registered for Full Season, Fall/Spring/Summer, Fall/Spring, Fall/Summer, Winter/Spring, or Winter/Summer Please email Brandon Francis if you have any questions or need assistance.

This event is offered to players with Birth Years from 2004-2009. If there are any changes made to the event due to COVID-19, MSYSA will be in touch with registered participants. MSYSA State Cup – New Format for 2020-2021 Beginning this fall, the MSYSA State Cup will have a slightly different look. There will now be two (2) divisions of play, and both will potentially have opportunities for advancement to regional and national competitions. The top division (Elite Division) is expected to be comprised mostly of teams that participate in the NLC and MSPSP Premier 1 Division teams in the Elite Division will be competing to earn spots at the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships and potentially the National Championship. The next division is the Premier Division and it is expected to be comprised mostly of teams that participate in MSPSP (all divisions except Premier 1) and other select leagues around the state. Teams in the Premier Division will be competing to earn spots at the US Youth Soccer Midwest President’s Cup and potentially the National President’s Cup. Regardless of division, each team will play 3 or 4 selfscheduled preliminary games. Teams who do well will advance to the Quarterfinals (when applicable), Semifinals, and eventually, the Finals.

These phases will be held in Kentwood, MI from August 2-6 and October 8-12. Participants must attend both phases. To register, click here. 2020 Olympic Development Program "Identification Weekend" (Tryouts) (Press Release) When: July 31- August 2, 2020 Where: Independence Park - Canton, Michigan Who: *For Birth Years 2004 - 2009* Cost: $125 Field players and Goalkeepers wishing to participate in the ODP Program should register for the ID Weekend and attend all training sessions. The cost to register and participate in the ODP ID Weekend is $125. Players' skill and abilities will be assessed throughout all training sessions by ODP Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Evaluators. Criteria for selection into the Michigan ODP State Player Pools includes but is not limited to: technical skills, physical abilities, tactical decisionmaking, attitude/self-awareness, etc. State Player Pools for each Birth Year will be determined and announced (via Constant Contact email) no later than 5pm on August 5, 2020.
