Card Selections
Once you have made your decision to apply for a credit card for rewards there are a few things you want to think about. Do you have an idea of where your next adventure will take place? What months are you interested in traveling to your destination? For how long? Are you traveling solo, with a partner, or in a group? These are the first few questions you normally think about anyway. The only component added is how many miles or points are needed to get you to this wonderful destination with the least amount of out-of-pocket expenses. If possible, you don’t want to wait last minute to apply for these cards. Consider applying for a card with great offers as soon as possible. It makes things easier when you have points on standby for an impromptu vacay! If you don’t have any points on hand that’s okay too! We are just going to begin planning now. There are some amazing cards that allow for you to transfer points between hotels and airlines. During the transferring process you will find some hotels or airline transfer at a higher ratio. For example, the transfer ratio may increase to 1.5 instead of 1. Allowing for you to save some points! These cards that allow for this flexibility are absolutely the best! After you have made your card selections, met the minimum spending requirements, and paid your balance in full, the bonus points will be deposited into your account. Now it is time to move forward with plans on using those points toward your next vacation. Exciting news! You did it! You have taken the initial steps necessary to ensure you did not break the bank with funding your next vacation and allowed for credit to do the work for you.
