“I wanted to show my sons that it’s possible to take back our power against fear, so I created a simple story and it worked,” she said.
“Many children experience fear, which is a normal part of childhood, but our children are surrounded by an extraordinary amount at the moment and when it becomes overwhelming it can significantly affect their behaviour, sleep and wellbeing,” she said.
Fear…..do as I say and go away is a simple yet powerful book that talks about the common childhood fears and offers solutions in a way that allows the child to look at the fear through a different perspective, and therefore releasing the fear, permanently. “This simple story teaches children that fear is just an emotion and they have the ability to overcome it by tapping into their untapped superpower - self belief.” Ms Marschke said. Starting out as a single mother who felt worthless, Tegan did a lot of personal development to overcome her own anxiety and self-worth and now she desires to help mothers feel empowered and know their worth. “My mission is to create strategies, resources and tools for mothers to parent effectively with less stress, and to help children overcome obstacles and understand their emotions and therefore create harmonious families.” The Illustrator for the book is the Author’s childhood best friend, Kristy Richardson, owner of Kreate It. A lifelong friendship has now turned into a special collaboration, where these two women show friendship and business amongst empowered women works well.
