About the Dance Program

The School of Art provides a broad, community-based dance program with classes ranging from dance appreciation to a pre-professional curriculum. Classes for children, teens and adults are offered in ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance. A pre-ballet introduction to dance for younger students covers the basics of movement and music. Fundamentals of ballet and jazz give students the necessary foundation to begin pursuing more complicated and refined elements of dance. Students only advance at the invitation of the faculty.
