December 12 through 31 Celebrate A Celtic Family Christmas at Home with fiddle sensations Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy, and their seven children. This exclusive online event will feature traditional and original music, singing, and dancing with the entire family as they share a glimpse into their personal life of raising children, farming, food, and the special Christmas traditions they honor and celebrate. Through the generosity of Bank of Utica, Munson-Williams is able to offer this as a free gift to our community. Complimentary access will be provided through a one-time use, prepaid link to the program valid 7 p.m., December 12 through midnight December 31.

A Resplendent, Festive Holiday Tradition, Victorian Yuletide Join us as we celebrate Christmas trees, the festive seasonal symbols that originated in Germany and spread to the United States through immigrants. Magnificent and joyful decor adorns all of Fountain Elms. Victorian Yuletide continues through January 3, 2021.

VICTORIAN YULETIDE TALKS Beginning Monday, December 7, join us on Facebook, Instagram, twitter, or mwpai.org to view a series of five short talks on the Victorian Yuletide exhibition. The first will offer an introduction to the exhibition’s overall theme and the remaining talks will highlight the dining room, parlor, library, and bedroom. Talks will be posted one per day and be available to view through January 3. Watch before or after visiting the exhibition in person!


Local Artists Featured in Exhibition Art of the Vote Art of the Vote, an exhibition of 10 works by local artists, showcasing their vision of the Suffragist Movement and passage of the 19th amendment, will be on view in the Museum of Art December 15 through March 28. The exhibition is sponsored by The Women’s Fund of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, whose mission is to create economic, educational, and personal growth opportunities for women and girls. Stephen T. Join Rachel Bartunek for a fun holiday-themed hour. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails while you paint your way through a collection of handmade Almost Local wooden ornaments, perfect for trimming the tree or to use as gift tags for packages. Each kit features five wooden ornaments, six paint pots (two color themes to choose from), one brush and three original cocktail recipes. After registering, you will receive an email letting you know when your workshop kit will be available for pick up at Almost Local (curbside service available). You will also receive the link to access the virtual program. Highlighted cocktail ingredients can be purchased from Almost Local’s gourmet bar collection. Ingredients are also readily available at local stores. Get your jingle on!

Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Mary Murray leads a discussion of a work of art in the collection, followed by a short poem and one hour of yoga with certified instructor Jeri George. Experience a full yoga practice at home. All levels of ability are welcome.

Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is a fine arts center serving diverse audiences through three program divisions—Museum of Art, Performing Arts, and School of Art. The Institute also offers an Art Library, an active membership program, a Museum Shop, and outstanding rental facilities ideal for public programs and private events. Munson-Williams receives funding from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
