About PrattMWP PrattMWP College of Art and Design is Pratt Institute’s upstate New York extension center in Utica, New York, located approximately four and a half hours northwest of New York City and conveniently located near Albany, Rochester, and Syracuse, New York. PrattMWP is home to 200 residential students who relocate to Utica from around the world to attend the art and design college. Approximately 25 percent of enrolled students are from outside the United States, creating a rich and diverse community. PrattMWP provides an intimate and nurturing environment, allowing students to develop as creative individuals. After completing the curriculum at PrattMWP, you automatically relocate to Pratt Institute’s main campus in Brooklyn to complete the final years of your bachelor’s degree. While most PrattMWP students (about 98 percent) decide to relocate to the main campus in their junior year to finish their B.F.A., you also have the option of applying to any other art and design school as a transfer student.
