CELEBRATING 20 YEARS

On July 6, 2022, Museum of Glass turned 20 years old, and there is much to celebrate. Since its opening, Museum of Glass has ignited the creativity of more than 2 million visitors and artists. MOG has hosted more than 700 Visiting Artist residencies and launched more than 140 exhibitions, a number of which have traveled to museums across the country, including the Smithsonian. Museum of Glass has fueled the discovery of 200,000 young people through innovative programs such as Kids Design Glass™, Science of Art™, Creating Connections™, and Junior Curator Academy™. Through the Hot Shop Heroes™ glassmaking program, Museum of Glass has contributed to the social and emotional healing of 750 U.S. military members. Museum of Glass believes that a creative community is a healthy place to live and grow. We pledge to continue providing exceptional programming, enriching the lives of people in Tacoma and beyond. We couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds.
