Boston Music Award winner Ruby Rose Fox, a vocal powerhouse of soul-driven, edgy rock ‘n’ roll, is hard at work to make 2016 her strongest year of new releases and live performances.

Driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, upright bass, and violin lay the foundation for mesmerizing vocal harmonies and fantastic stories. If Django Reinhardt, the cast of Stomp, and the Beatles all had a party at Tim Burton’s house, Caravan of Thieves would be the band they hired.
Known for his thrilling cello playing that incorporates new techniques to create a unique mix of folk, bluegrass, jazz, and R&B, Ben Sollee possesses rough, smooth, smoky vocal stylings and a knack for intricate arrangements.

Fill The Hall 2016 Rallies Community A remarkable community turnout on Saturday, June 25 filled every seat in the Historic Theater with bags of food to help feed kids in need this summer. This was second year that The Music Hall partnered with the Seacoast Family Food Pantry to collect food donations for its Summer Meals 4 Kids program—and this year, it was also the date of The Music Hall Community Open House with complimentary Historic and Tech Tours of the 1878 theater, selfie photo ops up on stage, and a free afternoon family movie. The historic design and magical atmosphere of the 1878 theater lent a special vibe to the day, as the red velvet seats got covered with bags of food. Many Music Hall and SFFP staff, board members, volunteers, and other community activists contributed to the success and good cheer of this exceptional day. “For me, this event is most significant because it really does bring the community out for the cause,” says Seacoast Family Food Pantry Executive Director Deb Anthony. “The other thing it speaks to, is that when you make it obvious to a community like Portsmouth and the Seacoast what is needed, people will respond. That is what is special about living here, and special about doing business here.” Adds community activist Denise Wheeler, “The combination of our historic cultural icon, The Music Hall, and the community-driven Seacoast Family Food Pantry—celebrating its 200th anniversary this year— creates a grand vision that stirs the public to action. The public responds to the dynamism of these two venerable institutions working together.” 4

ELSTREE 1976 NR • 1h 40m • UK 7/31 @ 3pm; 8/2 @ 7pm In 1976, during the hottest summer on record, Star Wars was shot in suburban North London. Nobody involved had any idea how big the film would become, many couldn't even remember the title. Yet for the bit-part actors and extras, their faces hidden in masks and helmets, this seemingly insignificant job would go on to colour their lives even four decades later.

A sensuous portrait of desire, jealousy, and rock and roll, under the Mediterranean sun.
