The Music Hall's projector is going digital! Thanks to the Community Development Finance Authority Tax Credit Program (CDFA), The Music Hall will be able to purchase and install a Digital Cinema system prior to the start of the new year. This is a critical upgrade as movie studios are phasing out 35mm film production before the end of 2013.

Apil 10-13 The excitement returns to Portsmouth for a third year! This unforgettable Spring weekend showcases Legends, Stars, & Up-And-Comers at The Music Hall, plus round robins and parties. New this year: Jay Smith Memorial Concert at the Press Room. Twitter: @musichall #PSSF14 Facebook: /musichall Youtube: /musichallnh

With a history of more than 100 years screening films at The Music Hall, having seen many changes in technology, this is as significant a milestone as we have ever seen. We will be able to retain our beloved 35mm projectors which have served us well over many decades for when certain films are not available in a digital format. And we're so grateful to already have our first donor for the tax credit program — C&J Bus Lines. For more information or to participate in the CDFA program visit http://bit.ly/cdfa2013 or contact Gail VanHoy Carolan, Director of Institutional Advancement for The Music Hall at (603) 766-2174 or gcarolan@themusichall.org

“Hang on to your hats, Portsmouth. It's the buzz of the Portsmouth Singer Songwriter Festival!” – Portsmouth Herald “So happy to be here and part of this great new festival!” – Roseanne Cash, 2012 3
