The Lil Italian Café sits within a shopping center right next to several other eateries, and yet the Lil Italian Café was almost full speaking to the reputation it has for making it worthy of the diner’s choice. Inside the Lil Italian Café the setting is clean and simple, tables have vinyl coverings, and there are booths along the walls if you prefer not to sit at a table. The venue is good for large parties, families, and even had tables for just two. Once seated we were immediately greeted and our drink order was taken, which was quickly followed when our server who returned to take our order. Service was swift and courteous. We began with the Fried Zucchini appetizer which came still hot from being fried, with blue cheese dressing for dipping. The batter was crispy and light, perfect complement for the tender zucchini it encased.
For our meal, we had the “Spring Pizza” which is a thick crusted personal pan sized pizza topped with spinach, tomato, feta cheese and garlic butter. The flavors of this pizza blended delightfully with the home-made garlic butter topping and the dough was baked to fluffy perfection.
