Jolly Boys of Spring Fundraising Musical Concert

The Jolly Boys are back this Spring for a special concert event! Come enjoy enchanting music from our long-time local singing group! Last year we had a fun & full house of sing-a-longs for their Anniversary concert! Established in 1947, The Jolly Boys men’s chorus is based in the Western Suburbs of Chicago and have been a staple of our community for many years! Groups like the Jolly Boys keep our Seniors thriving and engaged and their concerts help support our dynamic and affordable programming! This is a concert for all ages so bring the family and friends to enjoy this fun-filled musical event with us! Light refreshments, coffee, tea & water will be served. Meet & Mingle: Grease at Drury Lane Theatre
Ages: 50 years old and up
Join us in our first collaboration trip with Downers Grove Township for our Meet & Mingle events. These events will allow our 50+ community to casually meet-up and make new friends with local neighbors you might not meet otherwise! In Drury Lanes elegant and comfortable 971-seat venue you will meet Rydell High’s senior class of 1959, the hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping “Pink Ladies.” Relive those “Summer Nights” with Danny and Sandy as they rediscover their summer fling romance.
Inspired by the look and sound of music legends Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley, Grease became the soundtrack of a generation and one of the world’s most popular musicals! Transportation is not included. Trip attendees will meet our group leader Karen Spencer, DGT Coordinator in the Drury Lane lobby at 1:15pm show starts at 1:30pm.

Sip, Jam & Chill with the Senior Jammers
Ages: 21 years old and up Enjoy summer vibes while we celebrate National Bourbon Day with Music! Senior Jammers will be giving a special fundraising concert in support of our Senior Programming at The Community House!! The Senior Jammers have been practicing at TCH for many years and we are thankful we can be the place they gather, grow & jam! This is not to be missed as they proudly showcase their tunes that befriend the bricks of our halls on any wistful Wednesday! Cash bar will be open for those 21+. We’ll toast to the invention of what New Orleanians coined “that whiskey from Bourbon” because each barrel Elijah Craig made, he stamped with its country of origin, Bourbon County! Freshly popped popcorn, coffee, tea, soda & water provided. Good Summer Vibes are free! Registration is required. Enjoy pre-show drinks & mingle 5:00-5:15pm. Andy Warhol Portfolios Exhibition: A Life in Pop
Ages: 50 years old and up Ride with us by cozy coach bus and discover the art of Warhol, a man who created 9,000 paintings and sculptures. The Cleve Carney Museum of Art and the McAninch Art Center at the College of DuPage are excited to be hosting, Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop. The Warhol Exhibition includes 94 works from Andy Warhol and over 11,000 sq. ft. of interactive experiences, including a Biographical exhibit, Video installation, 150+ photos taken by Warhol, a Children’s Print Factory, Studio 54 experience and a Central Park-inspired outdoor space. After our docent guide takes us through a presentation with Q&A time, we will have free roam time before we meet up for lunch. Must register by or before June 28 to attend.

Puppy Yoga

Join us for our special Puppy Yoga for a one of a kind yoga class!!! What is puppy yoga you ask? It’s actually just like a normal yoga class — except ADOPTABLE & ADORIABLE puppies from Mutts of the Midway roam free throughout the room, spreading joy and providing entertainment. (Sounds pretty amazing, right?) In this Yoga class, led by a Certified Yoga instructor, we allow the mind to take a break, enjoy true puppy love and relieve ourselves of stress and anxiety!!
