PLAY. CREATE. LEARN.
From the Desk of
The Executive Director
Our community, our programming, and our facility came ALIVE this summer! We welcomed you back with open arms to enjoy every moment with your friends and neighbors. Our classes in STEM, art, chess, language, sports, sewing and much more have been filled with kids smiling, learning, and growing. This fall, we continue to build programming based on the needs of the communities we serve: •
NEW half day kindergarten enrichment program for students in D181- learn more, get on the waitlist, and see if we pick-up at your school on our website.
•
We stand committed to increasing equitable access to mental health services, recreation, and arts programming in the economically disadvantaged Willowbrook Corner neighborhood, adding to our education based after school program. Services will start this fall and we invite your donations to help keep fees low for families in need.
•
Watch for details on our in-school before and after school program. You’ll see new enhancements that will make you want to be there even if day care isn’t a family necessity. Stay tuned for details!
On September 9, we will dedicate the Dick Johnson Memorial Stage to celebrate Dick’s dedication to making theater available to all communities. We are raising funds to ensure the next generation of actors and actresses has the sound, lighting, and infrastructure needed for high quality theater. Learn more, buy a ticket, or donate on our website to be a part of this exciting initiative! Today and for the past 80 years, we have been committed to enriching lives and ensuring that all communities have equitable access to services and programming; all without the support of your taxes. Our impact is only possible with the support of the community and we look forward to doing remarkable things with your investment in the community.
YOUR TRUSTED COMMUNITY NON-PROFIT SINCE 1941
