CHEF & OWNER

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I started baking at 12 years old and told my parents I was going to be a pastry chef. All the passing adults in my life except my parents would laugh and amuse me, but here I am living my dream.

What skill should everyone master?

How to talk on the phone. Having a professional demeanor and being able to talk to anyone is very underrated. I truly believe my conversation skills are how I was cast for Food Network's Chopped Sweets.

Why should people support local businesses?

Local small businesses are the foundation of our communities. Not only are you supporting a neighbor's dream, but statistics show that the majority of revenue from small businesses goes directly back into the local community.

Favorite local restaurant?

My neighbor, Senor Mezcal! Best margaritas and sangria in town.

Favorite local shop?

Grantski Records!

Favorite local experience?

My husband and I always love walking and biking the Greenway. Having 30+ miles of trails is such a great benefit in the CSRA.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

Probably over two dozen, but I really only rotate wearing about 4-5 pairs during any given season. I’m past my pretty heels phase for sure.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Professional hockey player, and move to the US from my native Canada; only one came true. What skill should everyone master? Active listening and related understanding. Why should people support local businesses?

Local businesses are the result of the American Dream, the freedoms we enjoy; support the dreams and accompanying hard work of those in your locale.

Favorite local restaurant?

So hard to choose—love and frequent many of them— but I have a special spot in my heart for La Bonbonniere.

Favorite local shop?

Again, so hard to choose, but I love what Andy Jordan’s does for supporting the Paceline Ride. I bought my bike and equipment from Andy Jordan’s.

Favorite local experience?

Many wonderful experiences represented, but I so appreciate Arts in the Heart and the Greater Augusta Arts Council for making it happen each year.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be either a chef or a professional golfer.

What skill should everyone master?

Everyone should know how to make a meal start to finish. It doesn’t matter the cuisine or the complexity, but it’s something that teaches patience, attention to detail, and creativity.

Why should people support local businesses?

Local businesses become a part of our community in ways that larger chains cannot—the connections that are formed have a much more lasting and personal impact. Being in this space since we were Bistro 491, we have had the privilege to serve many of the same guests for almost 25 years. We have celebrated countless anniversaries and special occasions with the people who have also watched my daughters grow up in this building. It really has been such a rewarding experience.

There is really no place else like the Boll Weevil. And it’s been that way for nearly 30 years.

For instance, if you’re walking around downtown or on the riverwalk, and you are seized by the desire for something sweet, just pop in and get a gigantic dessert fresh from the case. It’s one of the best little treats of pedestrian life downtown.

Inside, the restaurant offers a slate of gracefully prepared and healthful items that please your palate and ease your mind. Specialty honey wheat bread made from scratch is a favorite with the regulars. Maybe try the Curious George sandwich?

All week long, there is something happening at The Boll Weevil. Sunday Brunch is a popular choice. Happy hour Monday through Friday offers half-off drinks from 4PM-7PM. Open Mic Night is held regularly, with performers getting 25% off their bill! Flight nights soar to new highs at the Boll Weevil, as desserts, wine, beer, mead, and sake flights take off.

When a steak is what you want, and you are particular about quality, the Augusta area has a new place that will change your dining habits. Founders Terry and Cim Brinkley had the goal of bringing a fine dining steakhouse to North Augusta. Thus Brinkley’s Chop House was created.

Brinkley’s Chop House is a curated New American steakhouse: multiple lines of beef which have been tried and evaluated by their culinary team. Brinkley's currently offers five different brands, two aging methods, and six different cuts. Brinkley’s signature steak is the 16 oz Duck Fat Delmonico Ribeye, aged in-house for at least 30 days.

Led by Executive Chef Ed DeFelice, BCH continues to search for the best products to add to the menu. In addition to great steaks and chops, they also have tasty seafood including domestic calamari, Verlasso salmon, jumbo shrimp, lobster tails and jumbo snow crab legs. Premium wines and spirits, a curated collection of bourbon, and innovative craft cocktails are offered. BCH is well-stocked with local, domestic, and foreign beers. When you visit Brinkley’s, say that Little Guide sent you for an extra special gift.

Brinkley's Chop House is a singular dining experience. Hungry, aren’t you?

Since Dolce Darlin’ opened in late 2020, it has been named “Best Cupcakes in Georgia” in 2021 and 2022 by Georgia Business Journal.

Originally opening in Vicenza, Italy, in 2012 as a hobby business, they have flourished in Augusta. After a family tragedy left Cat Musgrove and her children with no income, they took a leap of faith and opened Dolce Darlin’ bakery.

Cat, known as Ms. Darlin’, says the business has prospered because of hard work and overwhelming community support. Service is the family’s top priority, and they give back as often as possible. Frequent free events, such as princess and superhero meet and greets, take place at the Pink House! Follow Dolce Darlin’ to keep up with the family and events.

Ms. Darlin’ grew up in modest economic circumstances in Tennessee. This lifestyle gave her a sensitivity to budget constraints for families. She strives to ensure any income can afford what she serves. This bakery is all about faith, family, and food.

Besides the food, they have a summer reading program, classes, summer camp, room rentals, free online cooking classes, and an exciting, ever-changing and expanding menu!

The food is delicious and affordable. The love and hugs are free!

The Usry family’s business roots run deep in Augusta. In the 1940s, Horace Usry—the original “Fat Man”—took over his father’s grocery store and changed the name to Fat Man’s Corner. This eventually became the wellloved Fat Man’s Forest which sold gifts and seasonal decor. Horace’s son, Brad, drove Fat Man’s Forest and Fat Man’s Chow to success in the ‘80s, and this eventually led him to open his first of many restaurants, Cotton Row Café. Brad’s son, Havird, grew up in these kitchens helping his dad and grandmother, Carolyn Usry, a former Augusta City Councilwoman. Havird now serves as a partner, but the hands-on exposure to life in the kitchen fueled Hav’s passions of both business and culinary arts.

Featuring soul-good food, Fat Man’s is renowned for its southern fare—including the best squash casserole in town. Located at historic Enterprise Mill, Fat Man’s Mill Café has enjoyed widespread growth and demand. The Usry’s goal is to bring southern hospitality to the world through their lunches, catering, venues and service, and they keep doing just that... one dish at a time.

“Is this heaven? No, it’s Goat Kick Coffee.”

The Goat Kick concept began twelve years ago. Natalie Jacobs was working from home, while her husband, Jeremy, trained at Ft. Gordon with John Bojescul. She missed a coffee shop back home in Ohio. It wasn’t the moment to act, but the idea was born. Upon their return to Augusta, Natalie and Jeremy began roasting beans in their basement “for fun.” Their friends, the Bojesculs, joined them. Eventually, Natalie and Jennifer Bojescul, John’s daughter, began serving from their coffee truck. Later, they opened a to-go shop at 106 N. Belair Road, and will soon open a shop in Evans Town Center. The families have established relationships with growers, so their beans are always the choicest available. The “706” blend is the favorite roast. Among the many flavorful options is “The Goat”— a white mocha and hazelnut drink, topped with whipped cream, caramel and cinnamon. The Muddy Kid is an oreo cookie style blend of vanilla and mocha. The Aloha Mocha is for the chocolate and coconut lovers out there.

Goat Kick has fresh bagels flown in from New York. Roasted beans to take home, too. And a selection of tea, Lotus energy drinks, smoothies and more.

For the unusual human being who likes chocolate (just kidding!), La Bonbonnière is home base.

Since opening in 2005, BeBette Smith’s devoted following has grown steadily. She has been located in the same center at 231 Fury’s Ferry Road, but has moved twice to accommodate space needs. Draw your own conclusions from that fact.

BeBette was a school teacher in Richmond County for 20 years, but noticed that the Augusta area didn’t have a legitimate chocolatier. Thus was La Bonbonnière conceived. BeBette explained to us that a chocolatier doesn’t make chocolate, but instead transforms it into chocolate delicacies. And, boy, does she transform it! She imports chocolate from Belgium (in 22-pound bags), and when she is through, her cases are arrayed with chocolate ganaches, caramel-filled chocolates, dark or light chocolate, seasonal treats. The list goes on and on. You’re picking up on the central theme here, right? Chocolate!

“My shop is a destination store. My customers come because they know La Bonbonnière is the place in Augusta for fine chocolates. I attribute their discernment to travel—people who are travelers naturally are looking for tastes of the places they’ve visited when they return home.”

Metro Coffeehouse & Pub is a perfectly quirky, endearing establishment, with an extensive track record of inviting all to enjoy its sweet treats, hot drinks and adult beverages. The much loved coffeehouse is a prominent feature of downtown, occupying the corner of 11th and Broad Streets. Metro serves up high-end espresso and coffee based drinks (non-alcoholic or fully leaded), desserts, and of course, a full bar. The coffee selection is fantastic, as are the hand crafted blends, teas and more. Metro is not only a contemporary Coffeehouse & Pub, but it also puts its delicious baked goods front and center.

Owned by locals, Kenny Morrison, Bobby Morrison, Travis Petrea and Michael Yonesaki, Metro has been a casual central meeting place since 1999, hosting live music and offering a cool, relaxing location for friends to gather. If you are not new to Augusta, no introduction is necessary for Nacho Mama’s. It is one of the dining institutions of the CSRA. After nearly three decades at the same location in Augusta, “Nacho’s” has been central to the downtown renaissance. Of course, you already knew that, unless you have only recently arrived, or have not been eating out for the past 25 years.

Housed in a beautiful turn-of-the-century building with 20-ft ceilings, with walls adorned with work by local artists, Nacho Mama’s fare offers something to cure the hunger of carnivore or vegan.

Named to honor the English carpenter who plotted the first 41 lots and center square of fledgling Augusta, Georgia in 1736, Noble Jones is a mainstay of downtown fine dining establishments. (It should be noted that Jones became Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives, and eventually played a significant role in the Revolutionary War.)

At the helm is J.D. Wier, who brings his culinary vision to life by providing a vibrant menu of seasonal dishes, reflecting J.D.’s travel experiences throughout the south. From Charleston to New Orleans, to San Antonio, Texas. Among the variety of items are fresh fish, gumbo, and prime meats. Local palates will be thrilled with many of their recipes—especially the fried pickled okra.

Whether sitting outside on the expansive patio, or enjoying the quaint ambiance of the brick-wall interior, you’ll love the classic decor. Friendly service and quality drinks enhance the delicious food. NoJo is a must!

In 2022 Pineapple Ink Tavern was reimagined, paying homage to the Cuban heritage of owner Allan Soto. With bright colors, Instagram-worthy features, and artwork of important places from Soto’s life, the team transformed the space along with the menu. Now the tavern has a decidedly Little Havana vibe.

“Being in Augusta, it’s a good two-to-three hour drive to go anywhere for decent Cuban food, unless my family and I are making it. So we said, let’s bring that Cuban cuisine here,” Soto says.

You can find Cuban classics such as lechon asado—a braised and shredded pork dish served with black beans and rice—and a host of other dishes including a traditional Cuban sandwich and empanadas. Soto adds, “I remember when my grandma made these. It’s warm, inviting food.” Boutique cocktails feature Cuban-traditional delights. Ask your server about an Anibal’d Fashioned. Tasty, with a great backstory. PIT has an extensive selection of beers of all sorts, to boot. Want to finish your meal with a cigar? Pineapple Ink’s selection includes the Montecristo No. 2.

About the restaurant’s name: the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality. Ink is a nod to downtown art culture.

After relocating to Evans, GA from rural central Illinois in 2016, Heather Needles + Ali Kocher (mother + daughter, and co-owners of Rooted Coffeehouse) were eager to plant roots in their new community.

“In Illinois, we did a lot of life in locally owned coffee shops. It’s where we connected with our people. Many of life’s joys and sorrows have been shared with a coffee in hand and tucked around a table at our favorite local shops,” says Heather. “In Evans, we were looking for a way to personally connect and offer a place for others to foster relationships in this ever-growing and diverse community. The impetus for Rooted Coffeehouse was a desire to deliver a quality product while providing a comfortable space for community, fellowship, and connection.” The shop’s founders say the name was inspired by their own transitional season as they intentionally began putting down “roots” to establish their families in Evans. It is also a reminder to stay “rooted” in Christ, a firm foundation in every season of life.

Rooted Coffeehouse, located in the Market at Riverwood, opened in February 2018. Rooted is on the move, now offering a mobile coffee cart that can be booked for special events. Other exciting expansion projects are on the horizon for Rooted Coffeehouse in 2023.

When Abimael Lagunes and Roller Velázquez decided to bring their dream to a reality, they knew they had to create something different than Columbia County had ever seen in other Mexican restaurants. It’s apparent that they did just that with Señor Mezcal.

The restaurant embodies new ideas about Mexico and its culture. The interior boasts a black and white theme with large bright, bold and colorful murals created by local young art students. Not only is the appearance different than the area is used to, but the Central and Southern Mexico cuisine along with the hand-crafted cocktails really set Señor Mezcal apart from other Mexican restaurants. With offerings like their famous Alambre Pastor, 20 different flavors of margaritas, and a top-notch selection of mezcal and tequilas, you are guaranteed to want to go back again and again. The Augusta Canal—a meaningful tour of how things work and something lovely to behold. The Industrial Revolution had a massive impact on the American South, especially so in Augusta. The Augusta Canal was built in 1845 as a source of power, followed in 1847 by the construction of the first factories along the canal banks to use the power generated by the water.

The Augusta Canal National Heritage Area is the hub for activities. In addition to demonstrating the workings of the Enterprise Mill, it also offers rides on the Augusta Canal in a replica Petersburg Boat. These simple barges were navigated along the canal to bring cotton to the mill for processing. The tour combines history with sightseeing and a lovely natural experience. Additionally, wildlife abounds along the canal, even today.

The ACNHA is a kid-friendly experience, but rich in information that any adult will enjoy. It’s a boating tour, combined with a glimpse into the interior of a 19th-century factory.

Looking for something to show visiting friends? A canal boat ride will give them a wonderful Augusta memory.

Michelle Finn, co-owner of Sól Himalayan Salt Cave and Spa, was once riddled with allergies and allergy-related brain fog. Her first visit to a salt cave in Asheville, North Carolina not only gave her relief but led her to know she had to share these healing benefits with others. With her husband Dan, they created Sól Himalayan Salt Cave and Spa, a healthful, tranquil space where people can relax, visit with friends, practice yoga, meditate, or simply breathe in the beneficial salty air.

With the help of a highly specialized halogenerator, Sól grinds pharmaceutical-grade salt, then dry-aerosolizes it and pumps it into the air of its “cave.” Its antimicrobial, antiinflammatory and antibacterial properties make it an excellent therapy for people with respiratory and skin problems. It is also beneficial for people suffering from depression, PTSD, anxiety, and other emotional disorders. Over 150 years of history goes back to the ancient European salt mines, which gave rise to halotherapy.

Additionally, Sól offers massages and facials, as well as an amethyst biomat and a full spectrum infrared sauna. Michelle, Dan and their team warmly invite you and your friends to give Sól Himalayan Salt Cave and Spa a try to see how halotherapy can benefit you.

Julie and Randall Williams, proprietors of Augusta Gift Baskets, believe that “every good and perfect gift comes from above.” (James 1:17) It is from their own gratitude that they help others with the kind and thoughtful act of giving.

Founded in 2021, AGB is Augusta’s go-to gift basket service. They make corporate or personal gifting simple and tasteful. They make it easy to order online or by phone.

Augusta Gift Baskets actively supports local small businesses by sourcing the best brands produced in the area and featuring them in every gift. They showcase items produced by local makers, bakers, and artisans. They have baskets and boxes for any occasion.

They understand that people sometimes are short on time or just don’t know what to give.

Augusta Gift Baskets expresses appreciation to their customers by providing 5-star service, including curating of special gifts.

During the busy 2022 Christmas season, a customer requested a corporate gift at a much higher price point than they offered. In ten days time, they researched, designed, curated, and shipped 30 four-tier gift box towers. This All-Augusta Christmas Tower has become a popular choice.

The Fireside story is well-known. Founded in 2010, they have carved a solid foundation marketing the best of outdoor appliances. But, for the past five years, Fireside has also been supplying the highestquality interior appliances to the CSRA.

If you are particular about your range, your dishwasher, or the like, there is only one place to shop. Their upscale brands include La Cornue, Blue Star, Miele, True, Viking, Liebherr, RealFyre, and Speed Queen. These brands are ones that in-the-know consumers recognize as 25-year investments in excellence. If you are in the market for one of the best available appliances, Fireside is the place to go.

Of course, they still have a great line of upmarket outdoor appliances (Firemagic, Naturekast, Danver, EVO, Memphis, True). And, they continue their monthly cooking classes (over 120 held to-date, to the appreciation of over 11,000 people). There is no charge for these classes, so you can assess the appliances before you buy.

Building an outdoor kitchen? Fireside is the largest custom outdoor kitchen builder in the Southeast, with over 3,000 installed at sites as far away as Costa Rica. Their CAD platform allows for the preparation before-hand that makes for a seamless process.

High Cotton Downtown is your first destination in either case. You are likely aware of this choice shop in downtown North Augusta. It opened in 2017, and developed a loyal following. In September of 2022, twin sisters Nicole Miller and Kayla Prosser assumed ownership.

Nicole and Kayla had always dreamed of owning a boutique, so when they did it, they went right to work. “We love all things glitz and glamor, so we have added touches around the store that maintain the high standards, while making it our own.”

High Cotton Downtown has gifts for everyone—literally anyone on your list. “We carry local vendors' items such as honey, and BBQ sauces, and much more. Our emphasis is on products that represent South Carolina and Georgia.

“As to our women’s clothing: if you haven’t seen our selection and style, we hope you’ll pop in for a quick browse. We have clothing and accessories for all women. We exist to make you look beautiful.”

VSK Goods provides the best solution by providing a durable two-in-one wrap dispenser. This organizer is a great way to save space and keep your kitchen clutter-free. Vicia was an avid baker and everyone at VSK Goods knows that she would have been thrilled to have this two-in-one wrap dispenser in her kitchen.

Magali wants to share the legacy of her late sister and likes to think that in every product sold in her name, there is a piece of Vicia all over the country—and the world— bringing joy to others.

West End Collective was established in 2017 when the opportunity was presented to offer fine antiques to the CSRA in what had always been a popular Antique Market at Le Pavilion Shopping Center. They collaborated with existing vendors and have added many more since. Together they’ve been able to rebrand, revitalize and rejuvenate the business.

It is a Collective in every way, as each vendor brings a different look to the showroom, ensuring a wonderful variety and something for everyone’s taste. Pam has a long history in interior design and Jim a career in retail management, so they were able to combine their strengths to fill a need in the local marketplace.

West End Collective features a variety of European and American antiques, fine art from local artists, home decor, furniture, ready-to-hang curtains, lamps and accessories. They also have children’s items and a collection of vinyl records. Since 2017 they’ve continued to expand and curate, creating a unique selection.

“We want to be your destination for that special one-of-a-kind item that you won’t be able to find in other stores,” Jim says. “And we strive to provide the highest level of personalized customer service and satisfaction, so that you’ll want to return again and again.” West

Get Up Productions is Augusta’s content creation hub for anything Podcast, Youtube, Educational Videos, and Live Streams. When founders David Bash and Chris Nabholz were working on their podcast “DropTheDis,” they discovered they were spending hours every week to produce and publish the show. Now, when a podcast is started with them, the team works to remove barriers by taking over the nitty gritty production details and helping local content creators focus on the things that matter: creating great content and growing their shows.

Get Up Productions currently operates two studio spaces in downtown Augusta: a full-service studio for professional-quality shows including multiple camera angles to choose from as well as a studio space for everyday creators like Chris and David were and continue to be. However, renting a studio isn’t for everyone, so they also help build home, office, and professional studios that anyone can use.

Whether your focus is growth, monetizing content, building your own studio or saving time, Get Up Productions’ mission is to help creators take their productions where they were meant to be.

Brad Hubbard never intended to make a living working with wood, in fact, his first calling was to join the Air Force directly out of high school. His passion for cooking led to a very large collection of spices that needed organizing.

Necessity being the mother of invention, Brad used his father’s carpentry tools to create a very basic and maybe a little bit ugly spice rack. But, something clicked.

While on active duty at Fort Gordon, he began to do woodworking projects. As his skills grew, requests to build pieces for friends and family also increased. For three years, Brad donned his uniform in the morning and went to work securing our nation. When he got off, he switched to flannel shirts and work boots and built furniture for his rapidly growing “side” business.

When his enlistment ended, Brad recognized that the time had come to pursue his woodworking passion. The Knotty Log was born.

Lawn Letters is here to help you celebrate any occasion with their larger-than-life signs. The signs appear in the middle of the night so when you wake up, poof! Surprise! Lawn Letters can be displayed in any grassy location for you and your loved ones to enjoy.

It started as a way to celebrate special occasions for friends and family. It was so much fun that when Angela VanGroll and her family moved to Augusta, she turned it into a business. It’s a pretty simple concept: the client lets Angela know what they want the sign to celebrate—graduation, birthdays, babies, pretty much anything—and her team puts it all together. The next part is proprietary. All you need to know is that the signs appear, stay put for a day, then disappear once more, as if by magic. It’s a stealthy operation.

Angela and her crew have enormous amounts of fun delivering surprises and smiles all over the community. If you want to celebrate it, Lawn Letters can make it happen. There are only two rules: no politics and no profanity. It’s a celebration, after all!

Sugar & Comb, a locally owned hair removal studio, invites you to experience the ancient Egyptian hair removal technique known as Sugaring. If you’re tired of unwanted hair and the pain of waxing, owner Leslie Kavanagh guarantees this is the most suitable process even for the most sensitive skin.

Sugaring is done with a paste made of sugar, lemon juice and distilled water that is applied to the skin without sticks or strips against the direction of growth and is then extracted in the direction of growth. Far superior to waxing, there is no burning, no bacteria and less pain than traditional waxing. Leslie, an entrepreneur, is passionate about her business and the services she offers. Her motto is, “it’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together.” Specially and advanced trained, she was the very first to bring the art of sugaring to the CSRA, specializing in brazilians. If you are a mother who has had concerns about— or problems with—breastfeeding, you are not alone. For some mothers, breastfeeding is as simple and easy as breathing; for others, it is downright difficult; and, for some, it’s a muddle. The changes brought about by recent motherhood are sometimes tough to navigate. Sometimes what is needed is a sympathetic ear. Sometimes, it’s more complicated, and a true expert eases the mind and addresses the concern.

After several years as a maternal/neonatal RN, Sally Wood grew to appreciate that she had a knack for helping mothers with breastfeeding issues. She specialized in lactation, and worked 14 years in a hospital supporting breastfeeding families.

Sally Wood Lactation began in 2018 as an independent company, offering in-home and virtual consultations, hospital-grade breast pump rentals, and breastfeeding classes. In her career, Sally has had the honor and privilege of helping over 20,000 families with breastfeeding. Sally has appeared as a guest speaker at the Georgia Perinatal Association conference, and has been featured in Medical Professionals Magazine. Feeling a bit out of sorts? Or, perhaps, feeling perfectly fit? In both cases, and all others, the professionals at 2 Wolves Herbal Apothecary are here to assist in your life’s journey. Dr. Kim Adams, and her daughter, Jessica, have opened a center for the pursuit of wellness/wholeness. Kim’s studies led her to formulate herbal remedies for patients in her holistic health practice. This was hardly a whim: Kim’s mother was a herbalist and naturopathic person, and her father was a behavioral psychologist, and part Cherokee; one might say she was “born into it.” She combined her heritage, and her allopathic practitioner base with graduate work in Ayurvedic Medicine, eight limbs of yoga, Eastern medicine, and Hawaiian healing.

Opened just before the pandemic, 2 Wolves has more than survived these challenging times. Kim tells us that people want to get back to their roots. “They seek to return the body back to balance.” It is a process done with the origin of the disruption in mind, not just the symptoms.

Drop in and sip a complimentary cup of tea while you contemplate wellness. Or, consider scheduling a foot detoxification. You can thank yourself the next day—when your energy level is significantly increased.

You have no doubt noticed that real estate transactions are complicated and largely impersonal for the folks who are involved with them on a daily basis. What a home buyer or seller wants and needs is a caring professional who is in tune with their specific needs, but is also savvy about the market.

The Betsey Davis Group embodies these ideals. They take the representation of their clients’ interest seriously. As Betsey told us, “I have a servant’s heart, but I take no crap.”

While working with homeless families seeking stable housing while pursuing her social work degree from Augusta University, Betsey became explicitly aware that real people have basic housing needs. From this rich understanding, she realized that she could help more people by running a real estate business that focused on service first and sales second. BDG strives to empower clients through education.

The BDG has sold over 900 houses directed by this belief. They’ve worked with first-time buyers, growing families, and people dealing with hardships. Understanding the needs of every client is the first priority with the BDG.

Their menu-driven sales process allows more client control of the process from beginning to end. They are solution-driven local experts.

When you are buying or selling a home, choosing a realtor is an important first step. While each client has a type of personality with whom they are most comfortable, there are other elements of what makes an excellent agent. It is in these OTHER elements that excellence is distinguished. Kandace Zumbro immediately comes to mind.

With 20 years in the business, she has the experience one seeks. A problem-solving mindset like Kandace’s means that she often anticipates issues even before they arise. She thrives on challenges, and is especially adept in the art of negotiation, which not only makes the nuts-and-bolts manageable, but also saves money in the process.

Understanding how to analyze real estate deals is very important. Kandace has that rare ability to explain the complexities in ways that people understand. When you have a question, she will answer it, and make sure it is clear to you. She is down-to-earth and honest, and she answers her phone. And, she simply loves people.

She is professionally involved, too—currently serving as President of the Augusta Real Estate Investor Association.

The choice is always yours. Wouldn’t having Kandace on your side give you confidence?
