Ever since one of the first “carpet golf” courses was built here in 1930, Myrtle Beach has played a key role in the development of the putting pastime now known as miniature golf.

With more than 30 courses located along the 60 mile stretch known as the Grand Strand, our area has more miniature golf venues than anywhere in the world, earning us the nickname “Mini Golf Capital of the World”.

The Myrtle Beach Mini Golf Trail is a fun way for you to explore all of the area’s miniature golf experiences — from swashbuckling pirate adventures, lush tropical oases and jungle safaris to fantastical family fun, dinosaur-filled treks and out-of-this-world encounters.

Kids play free in Myrtle Beach!

If you’re ready to up your game from putting greens to a fullsized round of golf, Myrtle Beach is the perfect destination for the entire family to hit the course!

Nearly 50 area golf courses participate in the “kids play free” program, allowing children 16 and younger to play for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Some of Myrtle Beach’s best courses participate in the program, including renown spots like Barefoot Resort, Grande Dunes, King’s North, Rivers Edge and Tidewater.
