About Dr. Barbara Young... Dr. Young is a spiritual, dynamic, energetic, highly successful International Media Personality who is passionate and driven in her goal to transform the lives of individuals for greater success. Dr. Young became known as the Transformation Expert for her work to change the lives of many individuals spiritually, personally and professionally. Dr. Young also became a consultant to two CSU chancellors, and in 2006, she founded, developed and spearheaded a statewide initiative in California and Kentucky to help enroll more African American students. She has been a consultant to many corporations, and speaker at many universities, churches and non-profits for many years before entering the world of radio and television.

Dr. Young has served on numerous state and national boards in leadership positions including both the State and National Boards of Respiratory Care, the National Institute for Minority Medicine, Leadership AMERICA and the Long Beach Goodwill Board. For 12 years, she has been a faculty-facilitator for the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI), where she teaches leadership and policy development. In 2014, Dr. Young founded a non-profit foundation to provide leadership and life empowerment growth seminars for impoverished 8th grade teen girls and their parents in Perris and Moreno Valley. Ms. Cookie Johnson is a devoted philanthropist, child advocate and spokesperson for women’s health. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Magic Johnson Foundation. She addresses the health, social and educational needs of those residing in underserved communities and is involved in the development of the Foundation’s overall goals, objectives and programs. Cookie joins her husband Earvin “Magic” Johnson in the fight against HIV/AIDS by speaking to women’s groups, at community events, local schools, etc. to help reduce new HIV infections in underserved communities by educating minority women about the disease and providing helpful tools for prevention and testing. Cookie served as a 2013 Ambassador for Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Honorable Diane Watson Honorable Diane Watson is a former US Representative for California's 33rd congressional district, serving from 2003 until 2011. She is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is located entirely in Los Angeles County and includes much of Central Los Angeles, as well as such wealthy neighborhoods as Los Feliz. A native of Los Angeles, Watson is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, and also holds degrees from California State University, Los Angeles and Claremont Graduate University. She worked as a psychologist, professor, and health occupation specialist before serving as a member of the Los Angeles Unified School Board (1975â&#x20AC;&#x201C;78). She was a member of the California Senate from 1978 to 1998, and the US Ambassador to Micronesia from 1999 to 2000. Les Brown According to many of Brown's speeches, he first decided to get into public radio and kept returning to the same radio station time and time again looking for a break. It wasn't until the on-air failures of the afternoon DJ that he took his break in radio into his own hands and was hired full-time as on-air talent. Upon his termination from the radio station, he ran for election in the Ohio House of Representatives and won. After leaving the Ohio state legislature, he decided to get into television and eventually ended up on PBS. He also formed Les Brown Enterprises in order to support his newest career as a motivational speaker and was on KFWB in California on a daily syndicated radio program from 2011 to 2012. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he also won many local and national awards for excellence and he has an Emmy to his name. Brown was a member of the Peabody Awards Board of Jurors from 1982 to 1988.[3]
