TOOLS AND MATERIALS


MEASURE OUT EVENLY SPACED HOLES FOR STITCHING.


STITCH BOOK TOGETHER, LEAVE AT LEAST 1CM OF THREAD IN THE CENTRE.


FOLD END PAGES WITH FRONT OF PAPER FACING INWARDS.


STICK ONTO PAGES WITH STRIP OF GLUE. LEAVE A 5MM GAP FROM THE SPINE.


TRIM.


LINE UP 5MM GAP WITH EDGE OF GREYBOARD. DRAW AROUND THE EDGES OF THE BOOK.


ADD 6MM TO THE TOP AND 3MM TO THE SIDE AND CUT OUT. GREYBOARD SHOULD BE BIGGER BY 3MM ON 3 EDGES.


CUT OUT ANOTHER IDENTICAL PIECE OF GREYBOARD.


SANDWICH THE BOOK AND TWO PIECES OF GREYBOARD TOGETHER AND CUT A PIECE OF GREYBOARD OF THAT THICKNESS FOR THE SPINE.


KEEP PIECES IN POSITION WITH MASKING TAPE.


DRAW AROUND GREPBOARD PIECES ONTO MATERIAL. REMOVE MASKING TAPE AND STICK INTO PLACE. CUT AN EVEN BORDER AROUND THE EDGE.


MEASURE A 3MM GAP FROM THE CORNER AND CUT 45 DEGREE LINES ON ALL CORNERS.


GLUE SIDES AND FOLD OVER NEATLY. USE BONE FOLDER TO PUSH THE CORNERS DOWN.


GLUE THE LONGER EDGES AND MAKE SURE THE CORNERS ARE NEAT.


GLUE THE END PAGE AND PLACE INSIDE THE COVER WITH A 3MM GAP FROM THE EDGES.


COMPLETE BY GLUEING THE OTHER END PAGE IN PLACE. PRESS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS FIRMLY GLUED.
