ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER HONORED

Congratulations to the City of Nassau Bay's Animal Control Officer, Troy Bradfield! He has been recognized by the Community Association for Nassau Bay Enhancement (CANBE) for his hard work and dedication to the dogs and cats of Nassau Bay! CANBE recognized Troy with his own Legacy Bench, which can be found by the entrance of the Peninsula. Nassau Bay resident, Darrell Booth, purchased this Legacy Bench in honor of Troy and CANBE was honored to assist with this commemoration! The plaque reads "In honor of Troy Bradfield. For all the boys and girls he has rescued." Way to go, Troy! Well deserved.

Presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Nassau Bay Nauticats Coaches for leading the Pledges of Allegiance to the U.S. and Texas Flags.

Issued Certificates of Election and Administered Oaths of Office to Councilmembers Don Matter, Ashley Graves, and Sandra Mossman.

Approved Resolution R2021-2226 designating Councilmember Ashley Graves as the Representative to the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) 2021 General Assembly. Approved Resolution R2021-2227 approving the City Manager’s appointment of Lacy Zapalac as the Deputy City Secretary. Authorized the City Manager to execute TWDB Contract No. 1900012527 Flood Mitigation Assistance Project Grant between the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), serving as the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Program, and the City of Nassau Bay. Approved Resolution R2021-2228 electing Don Matter as Mayor Pro Tem. Established a Marine Operations Ad-Hoc Committee with members Bob Warters and Don Matter. Authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Jeffrey S. Ward & Associates for Consulting Services for grant project management RFQ 2021-04 and RFQ 202106. Approved contractors Planet Three Elevation, Excello Homes (Byrdson Services), and Arkitektura Development for RFQ 2021-05 and 2021-07 Flood Mitigation Assistance Home Elevation Services. Approved the GameTime bid to install the “Stadium” playground equipment in David Braun Park in the amount of $69,748.04. Approved the first and only reading of Ordinance O2021812 authorizing the Issuance of the City of Nassau Bay, Texas Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2021. Approved the first and only reading of Ordinance O2021813 authorizing the issuance of the City of Nassau Bay, Texas General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2021. Approved the first and only reading of Ordinance O2021814 amending the Fiscal Year 2021 Budget. Approved Resolution R2021-2229 appointing Matt Prior, Don Matter, Cindy Harreld-DeWease, and Brandon Billings to the Nassau Bay Economic Development Corporation as discussed in Executive Session. Approved Resolution R2021-2230 appointing Mark Denman, William J.
