Testimonial: “I just wanted to say thank you both so much for doing such a brilliant job—and for coming out so quickly to do it. I still can’t believe it’s done—I am eternally grateful and if anyone else needs some work done you guys will be at the top of the list. Fantastic—thank you again.” Louize Mason-Styrron “We have employed Allzones Roofing over the past 5 years, in this time they have re-tiled a large house built in 1916 including dormers and gables. Re-tiled a cottage roof using new tiles on one side and re using the old tiles on the other side. Removed felt from a roof on a large studio and replaced with fibre cement based tiles. Recently re-tiled a bungalow with shingle tiles (wood). All the work has been carried out with efficiency and excellent workmanship throughout. I would recommend this company.” Peredur Art Centre

David Shepherd receives Lifetime Achievement Award Last month, at a star-studded London gala event hosted by Amanda Holden, local Hammerwood resident and world renowned artist David Shepherd CBE was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his life's work to protect endangered wildlife. David founded and is now president of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF). The award was given as part of the annual Animal Hero Awards run by the Daily Mirror (in partnership with the RSPCA); they celebrate truly amazing animals as well as unsung heroes who care for the animal world. Downton Abbey actor and DSWF supporter Peter Egan presented David with his award saying: "In this field we stand among giants, but this man, the recipient of this award, is a goliath." "I am overwhelmed and truly honoured," said David, who received two standing ovations
and spoke of his continuing passion for wildlife. "Education is so important and our annual Global Canvas Art and Poetry event is such a wonderful way to bring children from all around the world together to show their understanding and concern for the biodiversity of the planet." East Grinstead Living was able to get some further feedback from David on his receipt of this fabulous award:
Huge congratulations! Was it a shock when you found out you had received the award? Yes, totally. I’ve never expected to be rewarded or recognised for the work my foundation has undertaken in Africa and Asia but it is so wonderful to have this vital conservation work applauded on such a public stage. Spreading awareness about the plight of endangered wildlife is crucial in building understanding and empathy among wider audiences.

What is the proudest moment of your wildlife conservation activities? Over the past 56 years I have had so many proud moments that it is almost impossible to choose just one but I think that what really stands out in my mind is when my painting ‘Tiger Fire’ raised £127,000 in 1972 and all of that money went directly to help India’s tigers. Their numbers had plummeted and India had only just introduced a ban of hunting, so it was at a pivotal time in the history of wild tiger conservation. I think people have forgotten that wild tigers are still in crisis. With as few as 3,200 left there will have to be a huge, global effort to keep them safe.
I regard the challenge for the future as getting the message through to heads of government, members of parliament and, above all, the general public, that we don’t own the planet, we share it with all living species. So many people see wildlife simply as a resource, to be used and discarded. But it is a living, breathing global asset that we
must protect. Driving species to extinction will ultimately lead to the collapse of our eco-systems and our own extinction will surely follow. For more information about the DSWF's conservation work, including upcoming competitions and more, see www.davidshepherd.org.
What do you most look to now, in the future, in terms of continued conservation?

Activities for Autumn Luckily we live in an area where, thanks to many different tree varieties, you can find very varied foliage. So what better thing to do this autumn than to make a beautiful autumnal leaf tree:
1. Go leaf hunting and find the very best leaves. Also pick up a good handful of sticks along the way.
2. Bring them home and lay them on a flat surface to dry if needed.
4. When they have dried, tie thread to the stems of the leaves and then tie the leaves onto the twigs leaving a portion of thread so that the pretty leaves are dangling from the ends of the small sticks.
5. Place your finished sticks (with leaves) into a

The good news is that the satellite’s hours have just been extended so that it is now open EVERY FRIDAY, 1-3pm at the Lingfield & Dormansland Community Centre. THE HALLOWEEN OF OLD Samhain is a Gaelic Festival which symbolises the end of harvest time and the beginning of winter - the darker half of the year. It also marks the Feast of the Dead. Some view that this pagan festival, which falls on 31st Oct to the 1st of November, was later adopted by christians and celebrated as All Hallow’s Eve - Halloween. Whatever the case, it is certainly celebrated at the same time of year. Many Pagans considered it the Celtic New Year - and some still do. Samhain has been celebrated in Britain for centuries in various guises. It is thought to be the time of year when the veils between this world and the Otherworld were at their thinnest; when the spirits of the dead could most easily mingle with the living.
‘The Feast of the Dead’ aspect of the festival was not considered a morbid affair; after all, old age was valued for its wisdom and dying was an accepted part of life as necessary and welcome as birth oh how times have changed with the youth-worshipping culture of today! Some consider this action of ‘remembering & honouring of the dead’ as being echoed by the Christian festival of Hallowmas which includes All Hallows’ Eve (Halloween) 31st October; All Saints Day 1st November, in honour of the Saints and All Souls Day 2nd November, in honour of the faithful departed. To celebrate Samhain, the Druids built huge sacred bonfires. Harvest food and animals were brought to share a communal dinner in celebration of the festival, during which time costumes were worn - usually animal heads and skins. Participants would also try and tell each other’s fortunes. And those born during the past year were formally welcomed into the community. Many pagans would traditionally bury apples or other fruit near to the front door on this day, by way of offerings for the dead as they travel between the worlds.

for coming to terms with the past, and looking to the future. After the festival, fires in homes were re-lit from the sacred bonfire, to help protect the family - as well as keep them warm during the impending winter months! Autumn Salad of Pork
Pork Loin, Ham, Apple, Avocado, Autumn Courgette, Taragon Dressing Serves 4 By Andrew Wilson, Exec Head Chef at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club
Ingredients • 1 x pork tenderloin • Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon • Cured sliced ham 4 slices • 1 x avocado • 2 x Courgettes • 2 x Kentish apples • 500g natural yoghurt • 250g spinach • ½ bunch taragon
Method Season the pork loin with salt and pepper and sear in a hot pan to give it a nice colour on the outside. Place in a preheated oven and back at 60°C/40°C fan/gas mark 1 for three hours. Once cooked, roll in Dijon mustard and then wrap in cling film, tying up either end so the pork stays nice and round, then put it straight into the fridge. Finely slice the courgettes, apples and avocado and dress them simply with a light dash of olive oil and a touch of seasoning which will keep the dish looking fresh. 14
To make the dressing, blend the yoghurt and tarragon with 50ml of water in a blender or food processor for three minutes on high speed. Add the spinach and a pinch of salt and blend for another 2 minutes, then pass through a fine sieve. Slice the pork loin into rounds to serve and arrange all of the COMMUNITY BUSINESS DIRECTORY other ingredients around it on the plates.

A FREE SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS IN MID SUSSEX Why is supporting the arts so important at this time? The arts are a wonderful way to express your inner self, and find true happiness in life. As well as being a truly satisfying way to spend your career, there is big business to be made too. The creative industries - particularly the film and music industry - contribute greatly to the UK’s economy and there is a wealth of job opportunities out there for well-trained, professional young artists.
The Gielgud Academy’s bid to open a free school in this area is steaming ahead. Their proposal is being submitted this month and results will be known in January. Our Q&A with Principal Suzanne Gielgud explains the latest developments: In your bid to open a new free school in the area, what progress have you made in the last couple of months? In the last few months we have successfully attracted a very strong board of governors with top-level expertise in all areas of education and finance, as well as legal representatives and mentors from the arts. It is important to all of us that our academic programme be devised by really respected educationalists so I’m thrilled that we have on our team four head and/or deputy head teachers from local primary, secondary and sixth form schools. We already have a reputation for excellent professional level arts provision, but our aim has been to create an academic programme that is outstanding. We are now confident that we have created one. In terms of being a flagship school for the arts, what do you envision will happen?
How would your new school continue the Bush Davies School legacy? The Gielgud Academy has been completely inspired by the legendary Bush Davies School (based at Charters Towers, East Grinstead, from 1945-89). My time at the school went on to inspire me throughout my life, and all the success that I have had with my career ever since can be attributed to that school. The school motto was Decus, Vitae, Honestas and in the school song we sang about ‘Grace, Vigour and Integrity’. I want to carry on those same values at the Gielgud Academy. Professionalism, good manners and impeccable grooming played a huge part of a Bush Davies pupil’s life. Anyone in East Grinstead who saw the Grand Défilé performed at the Adeline Genée Theatre, or saw the boarders walking into town on a Saturday in their beautiful uniforms, will attest to that. These qualities are already being encouraged in our pupils at our current part time school and will develop further when, hopefully, the Gielgud Academy becomes a fully fledged, state funded, all-through free school. You were involved in Strictly Come Dancing last year; tell us how that tied in with your dance school? One of our greatest supporters is the BBC presenter Katie Derham. Both her daughters come to the Academy, and last year, when Katie was partnered with Anton Du Beke in Strictly Come Dancing, we decided to show our support for her in a fun and creative way. In complete secret, and with the help of katie’s husband (John Vincent MBE) we devised a good luck dance for Katie and Anton featuring her two daughters Eleanor and Natasha, and dancers from the school. We filmed the dance, which in true Strictly style was beautifully costumed, and then John managed to get the film to the producer. This was then screened on Strictly’s ‘It Takes Two’ on BBC Two, and Katie and Anton watched it live on air and were shocked, surprised and thrilled all at the same time! It was a great experience for everyone.
I envision that we will be able to successfully train the next generation of world-class professional dancers, actors, singers, musicians, artists, fashion designers, sculptors, directors, filmmakers, animators, etc., as well as creators of other art forms that haven’t been invented yet. Our pupils will become reliable professionals that have the benefit of a solid academic foundation so that they can manage their careers with intelligence and understanding. I believe that artistically gifted children from across the whole of Sussex will be attracted to the school, and because our faculty and staff are such experts, they will benefit from a brilliant and inspiring training on a daily basis. I The Gielgud Academy invites the local community also believe that some children will come to the school COMMUNITY BUSINESS DIRECTORY to register interest for their child and have their unaware that they are gifted in the arts, but that say on their free school proposal. TOM MITCHELL FEATURE
THE ROAD TO RIO FOR ONE OLYMPIC MEDALLIST STARTED IN EAST GRINSTEAD By Jacob White
played football and cricket as well as rugby which would ultimately be his first sporting love. Reminiscing, Tom says: “I went to Estcots Primary School and so spent my young days in East Grinstead, playing for both the local rugby side and local football teams.
This summer, Great Britain returned home with its best medal haul at an overseas games and one sport which delivered silver was the men’s rugby sevens team – led by Cuckfield-born Tom Mitchell. Rugby in its 15-player-a-side format appeared last in 1924 but sevens made its debut at the Olympic Games in Rio with heavyweights of the sport Fiji and New Zealand expected to battle it out for gold.
“I have particularly fond memories of playing in the Estcots football team in the Blackwell tournament which we went on to win after a penalty shootout! I was in goal!” At an early age Tom showed a cavalier approach to sport and an attacking mindedness, adding: “I played in goal all season but still managed to score a goal when I went up for a corner once!” Tom’s rugby career started aged 8, when his father introduced him to the game properly and took him along to East Grinstead Rugby Club, a club where he would go on to play for three years.
His rugby development would be marked with a greater leap forward when he went on to attend Worth School; this is a time that Tom describes as when things really “pushed on”. “One of my favourite seasons was my final year at Worth (School) during which we achieved a highly successful season and won the Sussex cup,” Tom added, remarking on his West Sussex school days. Tom went on to study at Bristol University and although he had thoughts of a career in professional sport he wondered whether his rugby career would peak at university until he received a phone call. The call was from the England Sevens management inviting him to join their training squad; from there, as Tom describes the moment himself, is a decision from which he “hasn’t looked back”. However, Tom’s transition from
However, Fiji’s opponents in the gold medal match weren’t to be their Pacific neighbours but Great Britain; the team captained by Tom Mitchell were now in a final shootout to secure an Olympic gold. The road to Rio had been a long one for Tom and it started where his roots lie, in West Sussex – growing up in East Grinstead and attending Worth School, it was here his talent shone bright. Tom was a sporting all-rounder from a young age in the town – he competed in athletics events, 18

all, both in Rio and back home. “The level of support behind us was astounding and humbling as an athlete and particularly as a rugby player because it was all new for us,” Tom says as he proudly wears his Olympic medal. What’s next for Tom? As is the nature of high-level sport, it’s building on the Olympics and preparing for the next event, the 2016-17 World Rugby Sevens Series which kicks off in Dubai in December. East Grinstead player to England and Great Britain superstar as he says himself, “ certainly doesn't happen overnight!” and he encountered set-backs along the way. “It is rarely a smooth ride to success like I have enjoyed with the team in Rio; it was a gradual progression for me and I started quite late in the professional game,” Tom said. During his time at university, Tom represented an England Students XV and a Great Britain Students sevens team before in 2014 at the age of 25 he was asked to captain the England Sevens team. What should have been a high point soon became a challenging time for Tom; he sustained an injury during the 2014 Commonwealth Games in a match against Australia before worse was to follow. In 2015, Tom fractured his leg and dislocated his ankle during the 2014–15 Sevens World Series but Tom showed determination to battle back from such a severe injury and regain form. His determination paid off as he was selected in the Team GB rugby sevens squad which would head off to Rio. To cap off 20
being selected, Tom was chosen as captaining the team in its Olympic bow. Tom’s men beat Kenya in their opening game, before defeating Japan, and heavyweights New Zealand, and coming through nail-biting knock-out matches with Argentina and South Africa. Great Britain were in the gold medal match – with Olympic recognition, sevens rugby which once upon a time had been preparation for the 15-player-aside game was now a sport in its own right. Gone are the days of the shortened version being considered useful for fitness and the chance for a jolly at the end of the season; it’s now a sport with hundreds of elite players competing globally.
Finally, I ask Tom what advice he has for aspiring rugby players and Olympians of East Grinstead now he has completed the journey from East Grinstead to the biggest sporting competition in the world. Tom says: “I worked hard because I wanted to and it was the only way to play the game in my eyes, and always endeavoured to make the most of opportunities that came along. “Often it can seem like there is a lot of pressure; usually we put this on ourselves when we want to be successful but it is useful in these moments to remember why we play - because we enjoy it.”
The gold medal match would prove to be a match too far for Great Britain as Fiji, one of the pre-tournament favourites and winners of the 2015-16 World Rugby Sevens Series, triumphed 43-7. Reflecting on winning silver and being part of the historic Team BUSINESS DIRECTORY GBCOMMUNITY in Rio, Tom says: “It was an experience like no other! The scale of it and the buzz around it

HANDY CLEANING TIPS Here are some uses: To avoid clogged drains, pour 1/4 cup bicarb of soda down your drains weekly. Rinse through with hot water.
CLEANING TIPS
Children's toys can be cleaned using 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 litre of warm water. Submerge in this mixture (or wipe with a cloth dampened in it), then rinse with clear water. Add in a few spoons into your white wash for an extra clean result.
Bicarb of Soda has so much going for it in the world of cleaning. Most importantly it is nontoxic and can be happily used on many items and surfaces without worrying if it is safe or not. A6 1/2 page advert:Layout 1 07/03/2016 12:58 Page 1

1066 and All That LOCAL HISTORY NOTES
by Dorothy Hatswell of the East Grinstead Museum
1066 is probably the best known date in English history. The Battle of Hastings brought about the complete revolution of the governance of England. Although the whole of the country was affected eventually, the good people of Sussex were the first to feel the huge weight of the invasion! After the battle William and his army swept through the countryside of Sussex to reach the capital, London. On their way the army fed off the food stored by the native population to last them through the lean days of the long winter. The people must have been terrified: not only had they lost their provisions but they had seen the mighty army of William, speaking in an unintelligible language.
Tostig. Tostig, aided by Harald Hardrada, sailed from Norway in an attempt to wrest the throne from Harold, who had already been crowned king. Tostig initially defeated Harold at Fulford in Yorkshire, but was in turn defeated by Harold, five days later on September 20th. Both his rivals were killed in the battle. Exhausted by two battles in less than a week, Harold and his army were hoping for a few days of rest before travelling south again; however, the news that William had landed at Pevensey on September 28th meant a hurried, forced march of 240 miles down the whole length of the country not everything is fair in love and war it seems! The two armies met at the field outside Hastings. As we know at first things seemed to go Harold’s way but when he unexpectedly gave up his advantage of the higher ground, the battle swung in William’s direction. After this one defining moment, the rest, as they say, is history.
The problems of succession to the crown of England started with the death of Edward the Confessor in January of that year. He died without issue. However, at that date, there was no hereditary right to succeed. The next monarch was chosen by the The area gained by the Norman invasion: a Witenagemot, an assembly of the kingdom’s leading hundred years later nobles. Harold was elected by them, the day after William brought with him hundreds of landowners Edward’s death. William, Duke of Normandy, was and nobility from Normandy. was secure in case the necessity for reinforcements should be needed in the early days, William gave them lands in Sussex. He divided the county from south to north into six strips called “rapes”. They were Chichester, Arundel, Bramber, Lewes, Pevensey and Hastings. Every rape contained a harbour or major river and a castle was subsequently built in each one. The East Grinstead area fell into the Rape of Pevensey but there was no settlement then, only a collection of manors and a church.
known. Perhaps he was familiar with the area as it was about half way between London and the coast and would provide him and other travellers with a convenient resting place, as it was to for many centuries to come. Whatever his reasons, the past and present residents of the town are grateful that he laid the foundations of this pleasant market town.
Initially the Rape of Pevensey was awarded to Robert, Earl of Mortain, William’s half-brother. However, after Robert’s death his son, William, rebelled against Henry I. He was dispossessed of his lands and they were given to Gilbert D’Aquila in the early 12th century. Gilbert seems to have taken a serious interest in his holdings. He built Michelham Priory and a church in the nearby village of Laughton. At about the same time Gilbert decided to build a new town on the ridge near the church of St Swithun’s in the north of his estates. In the Domesday Book, commissioned by William the Conqueror in 1086 to establish the extent and value of his kingdom, East Grinstead is only a “hundred”. This was a Saxon division of land and it contained several manors and ”una ferraria” or ironworking site. There was no actual settlement of East Grinstead at that time. The church of St Swithun’s was already in existence, probably since the early 9th century. It would have served as a focal point for the area for many years before Gilbert arrived. Everyone from the surrounding manors would have worshipped at the church and brought their local disputes to the moot courts held there, sold their produce at the informal gatherings and, no doubt, exchanged gossip. These factors, together with the church being sited on a sandstone ridge running west to east, made it an would welcome your obvious choice for a settlement. NEW FOR 2016
Creative Celebration of Ashdown Forest The Ashdown Forest continues to be a fountain of inspiration for the arts and of course a much loved part of the landscape in which we live. So how fitting that it should be celebrated in all its glory with fascinating stories of its past and a look to the present and its future in this beautiful area in which we live. interviewed over 20 people who know the forest well – farmers, commoners (who still have certain rights, such as to graze animals and collect firewood), landowners, botanists, storytellers and enthusiastic local residents.
Local resident Eka Morgan, a former BBC radio producer, is one of the organisers who is putting on a Creative Celebration of Ashdown Forest this autumn. These days Eka creates outdoor audio trails for Eka Morgan National Trust properties, botanic gardens, arboreta and, most recently, for Wakehurst Place. Eka specifically moved to this area because she was in awe of Ashdown Forest and that such a large expanse of heath and woodland still exists so near London. So it seems only fitting that she would combine her love of the forest with her work.
We are very lucky to be able to bring you some fabulous quotes from this Soundscape, to get a taste of the treat in store for you: © Tom S B Lee
Thus two years ago Eka approached the Ashdown Forest Centre to ask if they would like an outdoor audio trail...and now, finally, not only is the audio trail to be launched this month, but it has expanded into an entire Celebration Week.
Michael Blencowe, Sussex Wildlife Trust: "Here in the Ashdown Forest you'll find 34 species of Among the week’s offerings will be: butterfly; we have about 45 species of butterfly in Sussex. And you'll find some quite general A new musical composition, which is a collaboration common species here but the real speciality is between Ashdown Forest Poet in Residence Sian the Silver Studded Blue butterfly, a small blue Thomas and composer Gregers Brinch. butterfly which on the underside of its wings A specially commissioned Celebration Soundscape has some orange dots and in those orange dots produced by former BBC producer Eka Morgan. you'll see some little silver studs which gives it its name. “Now the black ants will carry the caterpillars down into the ants' nest so a lot of the caterpillar's life is spent underground in the chambers in the ants' nest. It pupates down there and then it actually emerges from underground as a lovely blue butterfly; the ants then guide it out and it will sit there on a bit of heather... It's very vulnerable when it's trying to dry so it's got its wings spread and even then the ants are still crawling all over it and giving it protection, and then it sort of shimmers its wings (shakes its wings) and then the ants drop off it and it sort of says, 'See you later, suckers!' and it flies off."
Rich Allum, Forest Ranger: "We've got some very rare birds that live on the forest, one of which is the nightjar. Nightjars are interesting because they like heathland because it's very open...because they nest on the ground in open areas and their defence mechanism against predators is to lure the predator away from the nest (with either the eggs or the young in) and pretend to have a broken wing. And I know they do this, but when it actually happened, I completely forgot... It completely duped me, so I approached a nest that had been disturbed and the adult bird moved away from the nest with its wing dangling to its side. And I was so upset because they're such rare birds, just beautiful birds, and I was like, 'oh no!'... So my instinct, of course, was to follow it, to try to protect it, help it, and it lured me away from the nest until I was miles away from the nest and then it flew off and I thought to myself, 'I fell for it,' and it was so convincing... Amazing way to avoid a predator."
David Streeter, President of The Friends of Ashdown Forest: "I am David Streeter. I was brought up close to Ashdown Forest at East Grinstead and I've known it all my life; my parents brought me onto the forest in the 1940s to picnic. I tell you what I did teach myself to do in those days and that was: I could tickle trout. You put your hand in the water and you stroke the fish and for some reason or another it sends them into some kind of temporary torpor and you can just clutch them and fish them out; it's an old country way of catching trout. And I took the trout home with great pride and my mother refused to cook them because she had this unanswerable logic that any fish which was silly enough to allow me to fish it out the stream had to be sick, so we never ate the trout that I caught."
Inspired by David Attenborough’s well known quote: "No one will protect what they don’t care about, and no one will care about what they have never experienced," Eka says: “I hope that the Celebration © www.terryjameswalker.com Week will inspire people not to take Ashdown Forest for granted. In order to protect it – we need to be reminded how remarkable it is.”
Please see the Ashdown Forest Centre’s website for the dates, times and suggested age suitability. Note, admission will be by donation and places are limited and allocated on a first come basis (the donations will be shared between the Ashdown Forest Centre and the individual artists). Parking is at the Ashdown Forest Centre and Broadstone Car Park (please bring COMMUNITY BUSINESS DIRECTORY a torch for the latter, as it is a bit of a walk). Please share lifts if possible.

Local Children's Author at Wakehurst
Children's author Julian Warrender will be making an appearance at Bountiful Botanics, at Wakehurst this autumn. As well as authoring four popular children's stories (Granny Marmalade and Uncle Tractor, The Railway Land Dogs' Club Three Further Tails, The Railway Land Dogs' Club - Ivy's Lost Ball, Magnus Carter) she is also founder and chief pot stirrer of Ouse Valley Foods – an awardwinning Sussex food business. Here we ask Julian about her popular books: What inspired you to go from food manufacturing into the realms of story writing for children? My first book, 'Granny Marmalade and Uncle Tractor', came about because I was impressed by my son who works in the world of farming and had been interested in it since he was a little boy (he's Uncle Tractor), and from an early age he understood the essential synergy between what he loved and went on to practise, and what his mother runs (Ouse 36
Valley Foods). When I became a grandmother and Jamie an uncle it became the perfect moment to capture this partnership. I felt that tied into a "year in the life of" and children would be able to engage in the cycle.
food-themed book for adults and children.
Which is your favourite story and why?
Through the eyes of Ivy and the fellow members of her Dogs’ Club, we will explore the flora and fauna of the Railway Land nature reserve. Wandering through imaginary fields & hedgerows with Granny Marmalade, we’ll discover an abundance of ingredients to make magical potions & scrummy delights:
Oh, hard question! I am very fond of the latest book as I am potty about dogs and all things outdoors. Using Lewes as the backdrop has cemented my love of this beautiful town, embraced on all sides by the Downs, the river and meadows.
Here are more details of Julian's children's workshop at Wakehurst: Bulrushes, Berries and Beasts
Magnus Carter was an achievement I was jolly pleased about: interpreting solemn historical events for young children, bringing charm and a plot whilst maintaining the integrity of the events was quite a challenge.

Quizzical, enthusiastic and consistently encouraging. Parents have got the point of the books and children adore both story and illustrations. Schools have invited me in and I love the opportunities to run spontaneous workshops and readings. What does the future hold in terms of more books? I have all the component parts of another historically based story; I just need to draw the threads together and crack on.
