BRIEF TITLE: YCN – Ella’s Kitchen D&AD – Its Nice That

Why have you chosen to work with your creative partner? What are your aims?

We both are interested in similar areas of design and we think that our styles and skills will compliment each other throughout the briefs.

We both have a varied skill set, which each are stronger in some areas, so this will help us along the way.

We aim to work together and to execute the brief to its full potential by experimenting with different techniques etc to push the brief as far as we can.

What are your specific areas of creative interest in this brief?

We have picked both briefs because they both work across print and web and have the ability to expand the products into a range.

These areas (print and web) are what we both feel are our main interests. We aim to try out print techniques and methods throughout both briefs.

What specific design skills do you have to offer in relation to your chosen brief? How do you intend to use them?

In both briefs we intend to design across print and web media. We both feel confident it working in these two areas and we believe we have a good skill set in these to execute it to a high standard.

We will use our skills to experiment throughout the briefs to get the best possible outcome and to make sure we answer the brief.

What specific non-design skills do you have to offer in relation to your chosen brief? How do you intend to use them?

We are both good at time management and will always be in college to work.

We will be organised and plan effectively to get the most out of the time we have on these briefs.

What will your specific roles be in the collaboration in relation to your brief?

In terms of designing and producing the products we will do this together and make sure that we both agree on the style and work to produce. Once the idea has been agreed on we could then split the workload down to suit each individuals stronger skills.

Specific roles will come in place when we start to design the final products.

Time management will be built within us both; one of us will take control of the files etc.

What will your individual responsibilities be in relation to your brief?

Initial responsibilities will be decided once we have worked on the brief and got an idea to work with. We plan on working together as much as we can, but will split the workloads for when we wont be in the studio.

What will your joint responsibilities be?

Deciding on the concept and direction of initial outcomes.

Working on the final products together in terms of printing and printing techniques and web design.
