July 16 PARK OF THE WEEK: Vandergriff Park FUN FACT: This 84-acre community park, packed full with almost every amenity you could want in a park, bears the name of Tom Vandergriff. Vandergriff served as Mayor of Arlington from 1951 to 1977, making him the longest tenured mayor in the history of the city!

DISC GOLF AT VETERANS PARK - Veterans Park is home to the only disc golf course
in a city park. At 103 acres, enjoy amenities from an equestrian trail to playgrounds, a pond to wildscape gardens and more. The disc course is a mix of several very hilly and rugged holes with dense mesquite brush and cactus, giving way to some more traditional park fairways that allow long drives. July 19 VOLLEYBALL MINI CAMPS - Serve, pass, set, and spike at East Library and Recreation Center’s Volleyball Mini Camp, July 19-23! This camp is designed for ages 5-12 and teaches campers proper volleyball technique and fundamental skills in a safe and fun environment. Register online – limited spots remain!

July 21 AQUA STAND UP ® - Arlington Aquatics offers Aqua Stand Up classes every Wednesday at East Indoor Pool! This 45 minutes program is inspired by the standup paddleboard, mixed with different fitness techniques like HIIT, Pilates, Yoga, and muscular conditioning.
