FITNESS PACKAGES

Arlington Parks & Recreation offers a variety of monthly membership packages that allow residents and visitors to enjoy programs and amenities at all recreation, athletics and senior centers across The American Dream City.

Monthly membership programs allow Arlington residents to participate in a wide range of Parks & Recreation’s programs at any center without paying additional fees as they would have under the previous membership program.

Monthly memberships can be purchased for individuals or for a family of up to five people. Individual membership rates are based on the age of the participant and are discounted for adult residents over the age of 60. Family memberships for anyone living under the same roof up to five people. Additional family members would need to purchase individual membership packages based on age. Non-residents are also eligible to buy a Parks & Recreation monthly membership at a slightly higher cost than residents.

Patrons can choose among three levels of membership, based on their needs and interests. For example, someone looking to swim laps at The East’s 113,000-gallon indoor pool or to take advantage of the indoor track at The Beacon may find the basic Blue membership to be the best fit for their fitness needs. A Green membership opens up access to weight room and cardio equipment at all centers. And the Gold membership provides patrons with discounts on select programs as well as the highest level of access to amenities and programs at all centers, including in-person and virtual fitness classes, roller skating at Elzie Odom, and on-site childcare for up to four children during visits at no extra cost.

ARLINGTON RESIDENT MEMBERSHIP FEES APRD RECREATION

MEADOWBROOK PARK ALL-INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND

Arlington families gathered on Saturday, Nov. 16 to celebrate the grand opening of the City's new inclusive playground during the Meadowbrook Centennial Celebration at Meadowbrook Park. The free event featured carnival rides, face painting, live performances, and the highly anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new playground, which was made possible by a generous $500,000 grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.

The playground, designed to accommodate children of all abilities, marks a major milestone in Arlington's ongoing efforts to create accessible, inclusive spaces for its residents. “This is a totally inclusive playground, and that’s our objective here in Arlington to make this a home for everybody,” said Arlington Mayor Jim Ross. “This park really helps move us in the right direction.”

The playground features a range of accessible play elements, including smooth, wheelchair-friendly surfaces, accessible musical instruments, a merry-go-round that accommodates wheelchairs, and climbing structures designed for children with mobility challenges. Other unique features include a sensory area where children can engage with bells, rings, and other tactile elements, offering sensory-rich experiences for all.

A $24 million project, Texas Rangers Golf Club involved a total renovation and updated routing of the existing golf course with improved turf grasses and additional water features. A new 33,871-square-foot clubhouse, which opened in early 2020, features a full-service restaurant and bar, covered patio overlooking the golf course, pro shop, locker rooms, and numerous rental and event spaces.
