Introduction
Celebration is in order This year we celebrate the 5th year anniversary of the ‘Toys & Tenders Collection’. Since 2010 we have always strived to present to you a catalogue completely dedicated to the sophisticated superyacht industry and filled to the brim with the most interesting toys and tenders. The last five years have been nothing if eventful for the superyacht industry. Due to the economic crisis the industry dealt with hesitant buyers. As some experts commented, it felt as if the superyacht industry, as well as many maritime industries, were on hold. The past year however has proven that the superyacht has awoken and is refreshed. According to the website boat international the yachts are selling and the demand if growing once more. The first quarter of 2014 boats a total of 79 sales related to yachts worldwide, which is the highest total since five years in the first quarter and a 17 percent increase in comparison to 2013. If this is the trend for 2014 it promises to be a very good year.

When looking back over the past five years, you will have found Toys & Tenders Collection everywhere, from selected luxury hotels to superyacht harbour along the Cote d’Azur, major yacht shows such as the Monaco Yacht Show, Cannes Yachting Festival and the Antibes Yacht Show. Furthermore, the catalogue has also been displayed and distributed during the METS in Amsterdam, BOOT Düsseldorf and HISWA Amsterdam. 2014 will prove no different with a second distribution to the superyachts berthed in Monaco during the days of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix in May 2015 and during F1 Abu Dhabi in Yas Marina.

While introduced over a decade ago the CHASE model series from NOVURANIA continues to evolve with new models and features. The only rib tender with the vertical bow for a very smooth ride
Extender is the only tender in the world to be able to fold on itself to use less space on board the yacht and therefore offer more space for guests. While closed, it still floats, so you can unload it directly to water and then prepare it for use. While closed it keeps just 3.9 Meters and it goes to 6.1 meters while open (mod. EXT 610).
The special shape of the vertical bow allows for a longer waterline, this allows to begin the glide more easily, increasing comfort and safety in navigation.
The patent pending locking system ensures, once opened, all the safety and the performances of a conventional hull of the same size. It has been designed and tested to withstand the most extreme stress, although it was expressly created as a tender.
Ten convenient seats The width of the spaces allows hosting two people on the sofa on the bow, three people on the sofa on the stern, and at least four people on the tubular, in addition to the driver, for a total of ten passengers. The access is made easier by the use of a special handrail, which can be very handful in case of rough sea, letting guests step in and out in a safe and comfortable way.

To yacht owners a tender is the essential addition to fully enjoy the freedom sea, the easy way to transfer to the shore, and to reach every bay or every beach. To give you this, your tender must be reliable, save, fast and large enough when sailing, but also small when stored either into a garage or outside (stern platform, fly deck).

Flyboard The Flyboard® is a water-jet powered board worn on the feet which connects to a Jet-ski and allows underwater propulsion and flights of up to 12 m in height. The Flyboard® is compatible with all Jet-ski brands and is offered for sale by Superyacht Tenders and Toys. The Flyboard® is very intuitive: it’s like learning to walk. Find your balance and you will soon be able to fly! Around 15-20 minutes of tuition from an instructor is all it takes to be flying on your own. Once you have flown with this incredible bit of equipment you will be hooked. The rider can fly at different heights depending upon the power of the Jet-ski, a 150 hp Jet-ski allows the rider to fly up to 5-6 m from the surface, a 250 hp ski 10 m plus.

The Flyboard® hose connects to the back of the Jet-ski and then there are two ways to use the Flyboard®; with the Basic Kit a second rider on the Jet-ski controls the throttle which elevates the rider on the Flyboard®, alternatively, with the additional Pro Throttle kit the Flyboard® user has complete control over the throttle and the Jet-ski simply follows wherever the rider chooses to go. For yacht crews using the Flyboard® onboard we also recommend purchasing a quick adaptor in order to be able to make the transition quickly between using the Jet-ski in Flyboard® mode or on its own. The Flyboard® comes with a 1-year manufacturers’ warranty. Specialists in multifunctional inflatable platforms With platforms fast becoming the must have accessory for yachts, we interviewed two busy charter vessels currently using the NautiBuoy platform to see what their experience was. We spoke with Captain, Andy Sheltrum of SY Bliss and First Officer, Tim Endersby of MY Heavenly Daze. How are you using the NautiBuoy platform on your yachts? “On Charter, as we are a canoe stern, we use the NautiBuoy as our swim platform, tying it behind the side boarding ladder

to facilitate guests getting safely in and out of kayaks, paddle boards and even as a jet ski dock. It is great with the jet skis, as some guests struggle with the finer details of parking and the NautiBuoy acts well as a fender as well as a dock.” “We use the NautiBuoy platform off charter for all hull work. It is much faster to launch than the tender and much easier to clean, which removes the need to detail our tender all the time. With the ballast bags down the raft is incredibly stable, so during the winter I will put the maintenance cover on and use it to polish the hull and do paint repairs. Washdowns and hull detailing have never been so easy and it’s not long until we get another yacht in the marina asking to borrow our NautiBuoy. Bliss is a 37m performance sailing yacht so we do not have unlimited storage, but we find the NautiBuoy stows away very neatly and there is no problem finding it a home.” A. Platypus Craft
Platypus is a revolutionary concept of underwater exploration of small depth: as a semi-submersible watercraft, it can navigate either on or under the water. Platypus looks like a catamaran with a central part, connected to the floats. Two tilting arms can immerse the nacelle by hydraulic force up to 2 meters. This system provides an underwater navigation. Powered by two outboard motors, the watercraft is designed to accommodate electric motors preferably, but can also receive petrol engines, depending on the choice of the customers. It is accessible and usable both for navigation on surface or underwater. The steering systems are located on the rear
platform as a standard equipment and on the central pod as an optional equipment. The front steering system control the port and starboard side with joysticks. It is equipped of underwater visualization system which consists of a waterproof screen and a surface camera with a viewing angle of 360 ° (optional). As an option, the two control systems can be installed and used concurrently. All Platypus are equipped with propeller cage to ensure the safety of users. Breathing is ensured thanks to a built-in electric air compressor in the floats, no longer need bottle for diving. Removable, transportable on trailer, Platypus is simple to maintain. The concept is patented since October 2009 in France, Europe, USA, China and Thailand. The standard version is being launched in early 2015.

Cannes Yachting Festival
Unveiling a new name for the 37th edition, the Cannes Yachting Festival (formerly known as the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes), Europe’s leading in-water boat show is taking place between 9 and 14 September 2014 on the glittering Bay of Cannes. Living up to its reputation as Europe’s leading yachting festival, showcasing the latest boats from the world’s finest shipyards; the Cannes Yachting Festival welcomes a host of international exhibitors. The regular exhibitors are joined by new companies, all of which come to present their latest releases, including world premieres, such as; Benetti Tradition Supreme 108 – with its hybrid diesel-electric model; the

debut of the 58 HT Chaseboat from Otam – celebrating its 60th anniversary; the Riva Mythos 122; the Lagoon 630 Motor Yacht – 1st motoryacht of the French Shipyard; and the Beneteau Oceanis 60, amongst many others. In addition, more than 500 new crafts and 50 second hand boats - with both sails and engines, mono and multi-hulls - are already expected to dock at the Festival to launch in the 2014-2015 season. To coincide with the rebrand of the Festival, the Nice-Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has undertaken major renovations to Cannes’ marinas, which completed for the summer will welcome over 50,000 visitors to the show.
