LETTER FROM THE BOARD PRESIDENT
Lisa Purichia
President, NAWBO-Indianapolis Board of Directors On behalf of the NAWBO-Indianapolis Board of Directors, we welcome you to our 16th Annual Visionary Awards Luncheon presented by PNC. We established the Visionary Awards to publicly recognize the achievements of female business owners and leaders, and we appreciate you taking the time to celebrate with us. This year’s theme is representative of the women we celebrate: UNSTOPPABLE. You have beaten the odds. You have thrived through struggle. You have created your own opportunities. You have mentored other women. You have scaled businesses to great heights, and you have continued to face obstacles with grace and vision. You are truly unstoppable. For over 22 years, NAWBO-Indianapolis has been an unstoppable beacon of influence for women in the business world. We stand tall and strong as a platform for us to advocate, educate, inspire, and connect with the community. While women business owners continue to amaze us with their accomplishments, it is our goal to create more opportunities for women to promote in their businesses and we couldn’t do that without the support of our members and corporate partners. As one of the largest chapters in the country, NAWBO-Indianapolis is a powerful resource, and we will continue to support members to ensure that the chapter remains one of the leading chapters in the country. As we look to 2020, we can reach even further heights of success for our members and corporate partners and we look forward to doing it together. Congratulations to our 2019 Visionary Awards nominees and winners. May you continue to be unstoppable in the upcoming year.

Beth Rovazzini is the President and owner of B&W Plumbing and Heating Company. The company was founded by Beth’s parents in their Eagledale garage in 1961. Upon her graduation from IU with an accounting degree, Beth began her career as a staff accountant at
their time and money in regards to their hair.
Arthur Anderson.
Her background as a Stylist, Industry Educator
It didn’t take long for her to realize that she loved accounting, but not being a staff accountant. An opportunity for change presented itself soon after to run a struggling restaurant that her parents had invested in. She began managing with the intent to organize and sell it. The excitement and challenge involved in running a restaurant kept her busy and she continued there for 5 years. In 1988, the restaurant was sold and Beth made the jump to B&W, initially in an accounting role. As time passed, she gradually took on more of a leadership role in the company. As her parents began making plans for retirement, she along with 2 partners, purchased the business. Owning a small business is both a challenging and exhilarating process! Being a woman that owns a construction business is like being at the top of the roller coaster every day!
(teaching color and product knowledge to other

salon software company, has allowed her the unique access to cosmetic chemists, the CEO’s of beauty brands and insiders.
This knowledge and experience has allowed her to transform the lives of her clients by providing them ways to make educated decisions on the care and
styling of their hair at home. She has also scoured the globe and tested thousands of products on herself
and clients, allowing her to make recommendations to all hair types and lifestyles.
Michelle believes there is a lack of unbiased, quality information on hair care, styling, and products. She created Edify as a way to share her insight with the masses.
It is the human connection that matters most to Beth. The interaction with customers, staff and business associates is what brings her to work every day. The satisfaction of helping a customer solve a problem is like none she has ever experienced. She is equally committed to her peers in business. She currently serves in the Programs Committee of NAWBO, where she’s been a member since 2003. She is also the Vice President of the Speedway Chamber of Commerce and on the Better Business Bureau’s Board of Directors.
