The UNESCO World Report, entitled Investing in Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue is particularly timely in light of current world events. This report seeks to show that acknowledging cultural diversity helps to renew the international community's strategies in a series of areas in order to further its ambitious objectives, with the support and involvement of local populations. This report is currently available in six UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. The report highlights the critical role cultural diversity plays in education, the media, human rights, sustainable development and the marketplace. The aim is to identify strategies to foster dialogue in diverse contexts.
