PRESCHOOOOL PROGRAMS
WEE DISCOVERY PRESCHOOL
Preschoolers will explore nature through interactive games, crafts and activities. Participants will experience different themes and activities each week. Preregistration required. Sign up for three or more classes via phone or in person to receive 20% off.
Ages 3-5 | 11am-12pm | $7 Every Tuesday, September 6- January 24 Fischer Park Nature Education Center Campers will spend time outdoors exploring nature and learning about the world around them! Each session features themed activities to introduce campers to the great outdoors and includes camper-favorites, such as kayaking, fishing and visiting the playground and sprayground. Campers should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sack lunch and morning snack each day. Afternoon snacks provided. Staff available for check-in at 7:30am and check-out until 6pm. Pre-registration required.

FAMILY PROGRAMS
GARDEN VOLUNTEER DAY
Help save the monarch butterfly and other pollinators by getting your hands dirty in the Fischer Park Monarch Waystation and Demonstration Garden! Volunteer to plant, water, weed and maintain this natural habitat for native wildlife. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

ELEMENTARY EXPLORERS

FISHING 101
With just a bit of gear and a fishing license, fishing is one of the easiest ways to enjoy the outdoors! Learn the basic techniques of casting and closed spincast fishing with a TPWD-certified instructor in this beginner-level class. Equipment provided. Texas fishing license required for participants 17+. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

ARCHERY 101
Get out on the field, socialize and become active with the safe, healthy and fun sport of archery! Learn the basic techniques of target archery and handling a compound bow with a certified instructor in this beginner-level class. Equipment provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

KAYAKING 101
Explore the waters of the Fischer Park ponds from aboard a sit-on-top kayak. Learn the basic techniques of entering a boat, launching from a pier, and paddling in this beginner-level class. Participants may get wet; please dress appropriately. Equipment provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

BIRDING 101
More than 150 different types of birds have been spotted at Fischer Park, but how do you tell them all apart? Learn what to look for when you see a bird, how to use binoculars and more while you explore around the Fischer Park ponds. Binoculars provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

NIGHTLIFE HIKE
Your nature guide will take you on a journey around the ponds, through the woods and past the bat house of Fischer Park to discover what goes bump in the night! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

MONARCH BUTTERFLY TAGGING
