LCAR 2013 Awards The 2013 LCAR Awards ceremony took place Thursday August 15th at the Auburn Arena. Award recipients included:
REALTOR® of the Year:
Mark Jones, Broker, Prestige Properties
Recognizes the REALTOR® who has contributed the most to the real estate profession, fellow REALTORS®, and to the community at large during their career. The recipient of this award will be Lee County’s nominee for the Alabama REALTOR® of the Year Award.

This is a local award based on achievements and contributions by a REALTOR® who has been licensed two (2) years or less.
Jack Dunlop Service Award:
Sheri McCollum, Broker, First Realty & RealtySouth
Not necessarily an annual award but is awarded as merit dictates to a recipient who has demonstrated outstanding service to the real estate industry on the local, state, or national level, and/or to the community in the promotion of the professional image of REALTORS®.
LCAR Member of the Year:
Penny Johnson, Coldwell Banker A & W
Presented to a member who has shown outstanding contributions to the Lee County Association of REALTORS and fellow members. The award criterion is based on an exceptional REALTOR Image and local association activities.
Golden Key Award:
Mary McQueen Whatley, First Realty
This local award recognizes the REALTOR® who reflects a positive REALTOR® image to peers and the local community.
LCAR Good Neighbor Award:
Debra Barlow Cannon, Prestige Properties
This award is intended to recognize individual contributions and is not necessarily an annual award, but is awarded as merit dictates to a recipient who has demonstrated outstanding service to the community. The award will be modeled after the NAR Good Neighbor award and the recipient will be nominated for the NAR Good Neighbor Award.
