NEC Institute of Cultural Exchange house - Wondering Spring 2014 Professor: Lora Kim Location: Boston, MA

The purpose of the project is to create an institute that will provide spaces for multi-media and interdisciplinary Collaboration. It also provides spaces that will strengthen the outreach and community programming of the Surrounding residential and educational zone.


The New England Conservatory is one of the oldest independent school of music in the United States located on Huntington Avenue near Boston Symphony Hall, is the home to hundreds students pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies.

The Institute is located in the city that is surrounded by variety of stores and historical buildings. The site plays an important role as it needs to draw attention from people, and let them experience that engaging and interaction.

The Spacial quality created by walls and sections, and with that shapes different spaces; hide and reveal the path.

Emotionally, architecture is as complex, and as abstract as music. An interesting circulation given a feeling of a classic song. Music and architecture are communication with soul and mind. It’s a mystery.

Emerald Necklace Muddy River Installation - Connection Fall 2014 Professor: Michael Dellefave Location: Boston, MA

The project aim on landscape design, began with investigations, recognizing the nature element of the site as an exercise in recording objective data as well as a process of observation and interpretation, Then keep on define and develop the architectural elements to form the design to promote a sense of awareness and interaction with this exceptional landscape.

Diverse mix of residential and nonresidential zone reduces the need to travel and ensure activation of public spaces at all hours. A dense network of walking, cycling and public transportation improves life service and reduces dependence on personal vehicles.

The investigation of the muddy river site showed the relationships between nature, people and surroundings revealing the elements of movement, flow, composition, and nature. Balance and tension points were discovered during the process that created the form, programs layout.

Win-Land Architecture - Henji Shopping Mall Summer 2014 Location: , China

During the summer break I worked in a professional architecture firm with140+ people, specializing in large scale residential buildings and shopping mall design. I Joined design department, and work closely with an architecture team on Henji, a shopping and residential complex. Within this project, I aided in circulation design, sketchup model and creation of faรงade. In addition, I also helped the firm office space redesign and company marketing.
