Entry requirements: • A Levels or a minimum of one year’s experience as a Teaching Assistant or • An NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent or • Extensive professional practice experience in education support, without a Level 3 qualification. • You must work or volunteer for a minimum of one day per week.

This is a two-year course comprised of one afternoon/evening (5 hours) of lectures per week over 60 weeks. Completing the Foundation Degree will enable you to progress on to a oneyear BA (Hons) (Top-Up) Degree in Education Studies. From this point, QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) is your next step.
