What happens next? Your offer and starting college The college of choice
www.nescot.ac.uk
We’re looking forward to welcoming you. Congratulations on being offered a conditional place to study at Nescot. We thought you might like to know what happens next and when we will be getting in touch with you again. Your offer is conditional on the entry requirements for your course shown on the website. Please take time to check these (although we will help you explore your options and find an alternative course if need be, whatever your grades). Your complete Programme of Study will depend on your English and Maths GCSE grades. Unless you have achieved grade 4 or above in these subjects when you enrol, you will be required to take these subjects as part of your Programme. This leaflet has important information about enrolment and how to get further information and help before you enrol.
What happens next?
The most important thing to do at this stage is to confirm that you do want to accept your place here. Please acknowledge the offer through the online ‘Applicant Portal’. Alternatively, you can call us to accept on 020 8394 3038 or email adviceteam@nescot.ac.uk.

In May you will receive an invitation to our Induction event, which takes place in June will give you an opportunity to meet new friends, take part in activities, and get to know the staff who will be teaching your course.
When is enrolment?
Enrolment begins in late summer. We will send you full details well in advance. This is the stage where you confirm your place. We are unable to guarantee your place if you do not complete enrolment within the dates we give you.
When can I expect to hear from you again? What happens if I don’t acknowledge my offer?
Many of our courses are in very high demand and other applicants are waiting to find out if they have a place. If you do not acknowledge your offer within three weeks we cannot guarantee your place on your chosen course.
What happens if I change my mind?
Sometimes our career plans and interests change – if this happens to you our Admissions team will be happy to help you. They will help you to work out what you need to do and refer you to specialised help at Nescot if necessary. They will also arrange a face-to-face or telephone interview with a tutor from your new course when you have chosen what you want to study instead. Once you have received an offer on your new course you will need to accept the offer and enrol as above.
My grades are higher than expected
If your grades are higher than you were expecting - congratulations! We may be able to refer you to another course in your subject area when you come in to enrol.
My grades are lower than expected
Not a problem. If things haven’t turned out as well as you had hoped we will help you to find an alternative course.
