FROM THE CEO Joe Ewart Chief Executive Officer

Happy New Year! I hope everyone could spend some time relaxing and having the opportunity to refresh with their families over the holidays. It is hard to believe another year has passed. Still, as I reflect on the previous year, I am overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the resilience and dedication shown by all employees. Following the pandemic, we entered an evolving business workflow both internally as a company and externally to meet the demands of our customers. The New Era team has shown a remarkable ability to adapt and continue to provide outstanding service to our customers. We continue to expand our service delivery capabilities and offerings despite the challenging environment. To this end, we are pleased to announce that we acquired Consolidated Technologies based in New York and Telemerge based in Toronto, Canada, in December. New Era continues to pursue opportunities to streamline operations and create efficiencies to support this ongoing growth. In 2021, we implemented a number of organizational changes that we believe will enhance the long-term scalability of the company. Here’s to making 2022 another successful year—and one that is filled with opportunity.

M&T Bank Corporation 07

Background New Era-CT has been in partnership with People’s United Bank (PUB) for over 10 years, supporting over 400 branches throughout New England. On February 22, 2021, M&T Bank Corporation, an American bank holding company headquartered in Buffalo, New York, and operating 780 branches across the greater Northeast, announced that they were acquiring PUB. Before this announcement, New Era was working with top executives to upgrade the software of Cisco’s Communication Manager and migrate applications to New Era’s Cloud Blu. Based on our exemplary reputation for customer service, M&T executives invited the team to meet and discuss New Era’s solutions, support, and resources to deliver a critical project regarding the transition to M&T platforms and networks. New Era’s Sales and Operations team met with M&T leadership to discuss implementing a parallel infrastructure at the PUB locations to make the transition quicker, smoother, and more efficient when the acquisition was

FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY. NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION.

finalized. The scope of work was to create a dual service for every station/ computer endpoint in all PUB bank locations. Overview New Era was awarded the cable project on August 18, 2021, with a target to complete it by December 31, 2021. The project timeline was incredibly aggressive and complex due to the scheduling of resources in a significant number of branches across a diverse geographic area. In addition, in many cases, due to the short timeline, the team didn’t know what they would encounter until physically on site. It required a logical and thought-out phased approach with a detailed project plan if M&T Bank was successful in achieving its goal. Each site location involved three phases. To meet our goal, New Era was required to complete an average of four sites per day. In addition, mid-project New Era was asked to execute on another 30 branches while adhering to the original timeframe.

Continued... Project Details & Team The project itself was a significant undertaking compounded by scheduling, carrier dates, unknown cable requirements, unknown site contacts, site access requirements—all to be executed with a finite set of New Era resources. The primary Project Phases consisted of installing carrier services, installing and testing all cabling, and installing and testing printers, AP’s and branch teller lines. New Era assembled a dedicated project team under the leadership of Margaret Lee (PM), Tim Warweg (Operations VP), and Edith Romanello (AE). The team also consisted of several critical New Era team members including: Randy Lloyd, George Canales, Tom Solomon, Jeff Kealey, and Carl Zepke to manage the on-site teams and execute the work. This core team also leveraged valuable resources from our New England Branch in Quincy and some subcontractors. The project presented many challenges, but through the dedication and determination of our team, New Era has successfully completed 226 branches to date. Through proper planning, communication, executive sponsorship, and collaboration with the M&T team this project has become a model for success. A standard week includes the weekly planning sessions, the detailed weekly project plan, constant communication, and dedicated resources executing flawlessly on-site at 20 different branches. As the primary manager of this effort, Margaret’s leadership and professional approach have kept New Era on-time

and on budget while also embedding in the new customer’s mind the value and power of the New Era brand. M&T Bank is very pleased with our partnership and has approached us with two additional projects for 2022. With the continued success we also hope to have the opportunity to provide additional support to the branches throughout New England. A recent note from the customer before the holiday read:

We wanted to send thanks and appreciation your way for all your efforts with the PUB cabling project. We look forward to our continued collaboration, and may all your endeavors be successful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday to you and yours!”

Have a Story to Share Externally? The Corporate Marketing Team is always looking for stories to

share externally, on New Era’s website. These resources serve as opportunities to share with current and potential clients,

highlighting real-world examples of our solutions and services. Process Email Marketing your interest. The team will provide you with

SUCCESS STORIES Providing AV Solutions for Growing Biomedical Consulting Company Client: Trinity Partners Deal Size: $1.6M

Deal Drivers: Chris Hartman and Peter Wagner Division: Northeast

Trinity Partners is a Biomedical consulting company, HQ in Waltham, MA. Trinity Partners has 850 employees with projected growth of 25%, and a global footprint with offices in the US, UK, Germany, and India. Rapid growth/expansion is expected due to continual acquisitions (owned by private equity) each quarter. New Era capitalized on fractures in the existing AV relationship with AVI-SPL and having a long-standing proven history as trusted advisor and partner to the client to displace existing AV partner and secure position as AV partner. The initial deal was for AV needs for the India office. Chris Hartman (with support from Peter Wagner) was exceptional in his communication, professionalism, honesty, and ability to build trust throughout the process. These attributes helped win the client over to New Era. New Era is working to deliver and deploy the solution, but the team is off to an excellent start due primarily to the efforts of Chris and his team.

The Security scope includes converting all doors and adding new doors to a new Access Control system to be integrated with a new Video Surveillance system that links all Access Control events with Camera Footage. New Era is also completing the Low Voltage cabling to support these systems.

Able+ Services for University of Ulster (UK)

Cross-Selling Win with Aqua Leisure Group

Deal Size: $50K

Deal Size: $712K

Client: University of Ulster, UK

Deal Drivers: Josh Howlett, Rezar Zefaj, Lara Savory, and Emma Baylie Division: Global Video Collaboration

The university has selected New Era’s Able+ Identity and Access Management solution to replace Microsoft Identity

Manager (MIM). MIM is currently used as an on-premise solution to manage the

identities of 3,000 associates. The University of Ulster adopted Able+ to progress their

strategy of adopting cloud-based services. The contract term is 12 months. In the

interim, the university intends to procure a

solution for the remaining 93% of their user population in 2022, having an estimated

value of $1M, for which New Era should be well-positioned.

Client: Aqua Leisure Group

Deal Drivers: Joseph Walsh, Peter Wagner, Joe Schlichte, Robert Fallon, Dan Marshall, Darren Brown, Ken Kuznicki, and Chris Hartman Division: GVC and Northeast Long-time partner, Aqua Leisure, enlisted New Era to design and implement various rooms to maintain a consistent and simple user experience. This Cross-selling win included wrapping multiple principals under one purchase order. Utilizing our TPL team, New Era was awarded infrastructure cabling for wired and wireless endpoints, network switches, data center servers and storage, UC, sound masking, and V/C works. Aqua Leisure is a large supplier of quality products and has clients ranging from Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target, and Costco.
