Texas Association of Builders and Local Utility Companies to Present Seminar for Local Builders The Rio Grande Valley Builders Association (RGVBA) in partnership with BUILT TO SAVE™ will host a seminar for builders and building industry professionals on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Radisson Hotel McAllen Airport—2721 South 10th Street in McAllen, Texas. The Agenda for the seminar will include a presentation from the Texas Association of Builders on the changes made to the Texas Residential Construction Contracts package during the current legislative session year (2017-2019). These contracts expire and are revised every two years in order to include any new changes made during the legislative session. The presentation will include all of the legislatively mandated requirements, additions, and improvements made on the 2019-2021 package (note that the 2017-2019 contract package is now expired). The seminar will also include presentations from Texas Gas Service, Magic Valley Electric Cooperative, and AEP Texas on their rebate programs that include incentives for builders and, in some cases, homebuyers. The seminar is free to RGVBA members and will include lunch and refreshments. Non-members can attend for a small fee to cover the meal. This seminar is highly recommended for industry professionals who want to stay abreast of new legislative requirements and for those who may not be aware of the generous rebates currently being offered by our utility companies in the Rio Grande Valley. For more information and to RSVP, contact Marcy Alamia (RGVBA Executive VP) at (956) 686-2932 or Jose Vielma (BUILT TO SAVE™) at (956) 778-3590.
