Every year the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association (RGVBA) gives away a free entry into the Parade to one lucky builder who enters the Parade during the Parade Kick-Off Meeting. Additional prizes included a second prize of a 25% discount on the entry fee that was won by Villa Homes (David Villanueva, Emigdio Villanueva Jr. & Emigdio Villanueva III). RGVBA LESTER MILES – ASSOCIATE OF THE YEAR AWARD The Lester Miles Associate of the Year Award is presented to an Associate member, individual, or business that has been a major supporter of the RGVBA and the industry throughout the year. The Associate of the Year Award was renamed The Lester Miles Associate of the Year Award in 1997 as a tribute to Lester Miles after his death in 1996.
